MaximumMayhem Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 Here's a little question im hoping someone knows the answer to.. We all know who and what the ARC Troopers are. Elite Clone Troopers hand trained by Jango Fett. Seeing as only a handful were ever fully trained before the Prime Clone's untimely demise on Geonosis, they are used sparingly by the Republic to tackle the most dangerous missions. In Star Wars Battlefront, the ARC Trooper is the heavy weapons class. What of the Jet Troopers? Are they also classed as Advanced Reconnaisance Commandos? Their sidearm is known as the Commando Blaster Pistol, and they are skilled in the jetpack. If im correct, they are unlocked in Historical Campaigns after the Kamino map, and the description says something to the likes of them being elite troops. So what's the official story? Is the Jet Trooper an ARC? Best Regards - Steve
sith4ever99 Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 in BF the whole ARC idea got screwed up. they turned rare commandos into anti-tank units. the jet troopers are just made up by who ever made BF(forgot already lol) to fill that unit space.

clonearcman Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 It isn't true that the ARC idea got mixed up with the Jet trooper. Each ARC trooper was given a special missle launcher. It's on starwars.com if you want to read up on it. I will admit that it is kinda interesting that they use the ARC's not very sparingly.
MaximumMayhem Posted February 23, 2005 Author Posted February 23, 2005 You're correct that the ARC's were armed with PLEX-1 missile launchers, but being the elite unit they are, they should have had been given perhaps an additional form of firepower to make them as aggressive as they are suggested, because at the moment, they're easy prey. Call it a poor placement of a unit.

By the way did anyone know that if you hold down the fire button with a wookie that the bowcaster gets charged? You can kill people in one shot if you're in point blank range. I wouldn't know if it's been posted cause I'm a noob.

You find the Commando blaster pistol (Jet Trooper) to be more effective than the standard blaster pistol employed by other Clones? Its probably me, but I feel that the Commando blaster has a bigger charge in it.
clonearcman Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Yea, i think the commando pistol is totally better than the regular pistol. I noticed that it shoots faster and probably does have more charge.
