Darth Stryke
Hi everyone! I recently got my first two hilts in-game. Whoohoo! Anyways, I am working on a new saber pack that will be released in a few days if all goes well. I have two sabers finished currently and the final pack will have 4 or 5 sabers in it. Probably 5, but currently I only have designs for 4, still working on 5. My old saber (the first I showed a while back), has been scrapped for a new design but I am not done with the model yet. However, I do have screens of the two finished sabers. The first is Essar Gar'ik's lightsaber. He is just some Jedi I made up with a nifty little story about him. The second is Stryke's first lightsaber. Stryke is an RPG character of mine and well, this was his first saber. Anyways, Hope you all enjoy the screens and I will update when I finish another saber. I know they are not that cool looking, nowhere near anything done by the other modelers, but I still like the designs. Gar'ik's is kinda spikey and was influenced by exar Kun's saber while Stryke's was influenced by Obi-Wan's Episode 3 saber and is a rather basic saber design. My goal will be to have each of the sabers be a different style than the others. The exception might be saber #5 as I may base it off one of the others. And by the way, the screens were taken quickly just for preview purposes, next batch will have better screenies. Anyways, without futher adieu... Darth Stryke
Alrighty. Freshly modeled, have not even textured it yet. This is Stryke's second saber. The one he built to replace his first....um, yea. (This is my personal favorite design of the 4 I have) This saber will have a yellow-orange blade, but I am not sure exactly what the hilt skin will look like. Anyways, screenies below. Clicky, clicky. http://stryke.fotopic.net/p11670453.html http://stryke.fotopic.net/p11670454.html Also, here are two more, 1 shot each of the first two sabers. A bit better angle of them, although not much better Stryke: http://stryke.fotopic.net/p11670772.html Gar'ik: http://stryke.fotopic.net/p11670771.html Oh, almost forgot. For those of you who do not like the film-style (simpler) sabers like Stryke's two sabers, the next hilt will be a bit more exotic.
Mav
They look great keep it up, oh do you have some gmax screens of the first two?
Darth Stryke
As requested, GMAX images for the first two. These are not the final textures, however, the colours are basically the same. (Gar'ik's saber I could not skin how I wanted so it relies heavily on a shader, basically is all silver.) Darth Stryke
Only a small update for today. I took a break from modelling today to get some school work done and work on placing the sabers I have done in-game. The only major thing is I may re-model Gar'ik's hilt because the more I look at it, the more ideas I get to improve it and I think I have a skinning idea for it that just may work. I also may do a Darth Maul battle damaged saber as I just got the one Hapslash (JA modder) released for JA and I may do something similar for KOTOR since I lvoed the model he made. That is all for now, I am off to look for places to put the sabers.
