RougeTheBat
I looked into the codefaq doc but could not find what I was looking for, what I want is the actual model for the female sand people and the full mandolorian armor. The Source
Get a copy of the KOTOR Tool, which i don't know the exact address, but it is posed in the editing tools posting on this site. Second, extract the appropriate texture files, and then relable them according to the labeling format used in the game. Example: Female Jedi Robes - PBFI03.tga - You would have to relable the Sandpeople tecture file to: - PFBI03.tga <---This is only an example! This is a KOTOR II texture file for a Padawan in KOTOR II. Then, you drop the newly labled texture file in the override directory. Finaly you have to enter the cheat console, and type "getitem a_jedirobe_02" Alot of this has to do with knowing which directory in the KOTOR Tool to look in, and what file relates to what. Therefore, I suggest to you is, get the KOTOR Tool, and start looking around. Get familiar with the files, and come back here and read a few of the turtorial. Darkkender
This will actually be relativley easy what you need to do is locate the sand people female in appearance.2da. Once you have found this you will create a new item using KOTOR tool under item properties you will need to give it the disguise property and then choose the row number that corespondes to the appearance.2da row for the sand person female. the same would go for the mandalorian armor. This has the least impact when creating an item for the game. Also it avoids possible conflicts with other mods.
RougeTheBat
I actually have read many of the tuts but I was hoping someone here could point me to the actual model files, I dont want to use them as disguises... I want to make armor and clothing via model editing and item creation from the ground up. though I may be misunderstanding how the "disguise" function works. but what I intend to do is actually make a head attachment from the top and body from the body... this may not work but I really want to try. so far I am getting a bit more familiar with the files as I go along, and I have been able to do modeling with the lightsabres... and I am just starting to look at the mission char models and the blaster pistol. But I decided that armor is really what I want to work on next. will the apperance.2da actually point me to the .mdl and .mdx I need Darkkender? Darkkender
The appearance.2da will point you to the correct model variant you need to use. Now when it comes to a appearance like the Sand people they are one whole body model meaning the head is part of the body. Unlike character models like your pc and many of the NPC's. So your not able to have a seperate head from the body with the Sand people. If I recall the Mandalorian's are the same way. The disguise property roughly put will change your appearance from standard PC appearance to that of what ever appearance you want in this case the Sand People female. Now if you want to have multiple different color schemes to the sand people robe that too can be relatively easy. However it will also include some fancy footwork with models and the sort. After reading your description of what you want to do I'll probably end up dashing a dream. Too my knowledge we are unable to disconect the Head from the body on a model. I could be incorrect on this but I am not aware of anybody having acomplished this yet for models with the head built in.
RougeTheBat
No problems with the dream it merely changes forms... would it be possible to attach the "disguise" function to a head piece or a body?

A disguise property can be attached to any item except weapons. However I don't know which ones have the priority after being put on. It may be that the game automatically goes with the last disguise applied if multiple items have different disguises.
Allronix
My copy of KOTOR Tool crashes when you try to use the disguise function. Maybe yours won't. I know it's theoretically possible to do it in GFF editor, but I'm a wee clueless as to specifics
