I was messing around with KT and happened to find a Reveal hidden contents bearded Canderous head, heh. It is under ERFs/TexturePacks/swpc_tex_tpa.erf/P/P_CandH03.tpc Was wondering if he is in the game? I know Carth and Bastila make their appearances, but so far I haven't seen Canderous! If he is not... Well, the head is there, could make a good mod!

Rennick Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Reveal hidden contents As far as I know you never see his face in game unless you cheat it. But since Mandalore has Canderous' voice, Kreia talks about his connection to Revan, and I think calls him by name. Well Mandalore is Canderous.

I'd try to mod myself, but I'm still stuck in messing around the game files with KT... Well, maybe in the future my self learning can get me to mod something... Who knows?!

DarthVandar205 Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Reveal hidden contents I think Canderous is like some of those really big wig mercenaries that he doesnt take his armor off anytime even when he sleeps and he doesnt want people to see him or know who he is so he can keep his indentity a secret and thus the game doesnt let you take his armor off so he can keep that reputation. Im sure he does take it off somewhere but usually only when hes in private. I think Boba Fett in some of the EU stuff mentions how he never takes his armor off either.

Sort of a Darth Vader thing. He needs the suit on to stay alive or somesuch. It may be a weak plot device to keep the mask on him, but there you go.

It was never explained how Canderous got injured in that playthrough, but I'm working on a second playthrough and I'll see what i can get him to say.

He uses his helmet to show his authority of Mandalore.

DarthVandar205 Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Reveal hidden contents The helmet is what signifys him as being Mandalore because I think all of the Mandalores wore that helmet and its been passed down over the ages thats why that Esbok guy on Dantooine wanted to take the helmet after he tried to take out Canderous so he could claim he was Mandalore. He wears the armor just to protect himself in battle and to cover up the wounds he has received over the years because he doesnt want them to show because he probably feels he would be showing his weaknesses to his enemies and he doesnt want them to know about such things. The tubes on his suit just provide air curculation through his helmet and such so he can breath inside of that cumbersome outfit. Hes intact in there and doesnt have nearly the kinds of wounds Vader does.

Reveal hidden contents When you say to Mandalore in TSL you expected him to be tougher, Mandalore/canderous blabs on about his implants being the only thing keeping him going and something about his armour too
DarthVandar205 Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 Reveal hidden contents Mandalore just said those implants keep him going because hes so old and has so many wounds he needs implants to boost his abilities in combat so he can be at his best to make up for any inefficiencies he has. As for his armor I think he meant that he wears it to protect him in combat because his defenses and reflexes areint as good as they were anymore and he relies on his technology to do most of the work for him in combat. I doubt he needs any of this stuff to simply stay alive the rest of the time.
