Damar Stiehl
I got sick of spending Feat slots on Conditioning and Toughness. So I decided to be naughty and add Conditioning and Toughness to "natural feat progression" of all Jedi classes. Pass the wine, I gots the cheese. Conditioning/Toughness would be granted at 1. Improved at level 6 And Master at level 12. Ok - great. The PC gained Conditioning and Toughness at character generation. However, when I picked up Kreia, she would not gain Conditioning or Toughness; however, she correctly gained Improved versions of both. What gives? I thought you hook her up when she is Level 1 Consular... Of course I could correct it with save game editor but I'd rather not. Can this be fixed? What you would want to do for future games is change Kreia's utc file. The player character is the only one that will receive the bonus feats at creation as untill you build your character his stats, skills, feats and powers do not exist yet. Meanwhile all of the in game characters have a pre-defined UTC file that has all of there beginning skills aloted, as well as feats, & powers whatever the developers wanted them to heave to start out with. The utc you will want to edit will probably be with P_kreia.utc or something like that. meanwhile for your existing game KSE it in. On a side note my favorite cheese is to give the character a feat at every level and a bonus at every other level. As well I change the skills to get a skill point for every skill each level and set all skills as class skills. If I'm feeling really cheesy I give a guardian 2 force powers every 3rd level. Darth333
I don't have nwscript.nss with me but if I remember correctly, there is a new scripting function to grant feats in the game (unless someone does it for me, I'll confirm this evening). I would rather use this function to do this instead of editing the .utc file to avoid mod conflicts and game crashes as we've seen in Kotor 1 when npcs use the same .utc file or the same tag. .utc editing, .2da editing and dialog.tlk editing should be a last recourse.
