Who will it be?

One more question:

Is there any way to change Atris' appearance after you go back to confront her when Kreia betrays you? Does the game have a check on her appearance/is there anyone to make one?

I know there is things already in the works for this model, which isn't the point for me. I'm just wanting to know because it will help me with my future mods.

You could use the script function ChangeObjectAppearance() to change her appearance. In order to do this you'd have to modify the three scripts (found in 262TEL_s.rim) where she is spawned:

Unfortunately Atris is spawned in three different scripts for the final confrontations, and you'd have to modify all 3 unless you want her to make a quick wardrobe change. :)

First place is in "a_kreatris.ncs" which is where she is spawned in the Holocron room if the Handmaiden has not joined your group.

The second is in "a_sisend.ncs", which is where she is spawned when you crush her while controlling the Handmaiden in the Council chamber.

The last is in "a_atrend2.ncs", which spawns her in the Holocron room after she crushes the Handmaiden with her Force Plot Device Lightning and the Exile beats her in the Council chamber.

I've modified those scripts to (theoretically) switch her appearance to the Snowwhite Evil Queen model when she is spawned, but I'll only post them if you want them to avoid spamming the thread with loads of code.

Theoretically it should work, though since I don't have any saves from anywhere near that point in the game I can't test it.

I think the player transformation when you fall to the Darkside is way over the top. (After all, Count Dooku didn't look like a walking mummy and he was a Sith). Maybe something like that would happen if you've bathed in the power of the dark side for decades, but such a quick transformation just looks stupid.

But at least your clothes/robes don't fall to the darkside with you and turn into some disney costume. :)

Well, theoretically...

Atris was hiding her darkside from the exile, right? So maybe she finally wanted to show her true Darth Traya form.

Right, I'll hang on to the scripts until I have the opportunity to test that the modifications really work as intended then, if you don't want to test it. Don't know how long that'll take.

I don't think Atris was trying to hide that she was falling to the dark side from the Exile during the first meeting.

Atris was hiding her growing darkside from herself. She knew she was falling subconsciously but refused to admit it to herself. She convinced herself she was the last hope of the Order, desperately clinging to the illusion that she was the last of the Jedi, even as the dark side gained stronger hold over her.

Kreia shattered part of that illusion for her during her second visit at the Telos Academy in order to pit her against the Exile, bringing that part of the past to a closure.

In the current incarnation of the story Atris was never a Sith. She may have been on the verge of being one, eventually, but she never was one when the Exile met her. She likely was a Dark Jedi when you fought her, but not a Sith, and most definitely not Darth Traya, a Sith Lord.

You don't automatically become a Sith merely by falling to the Dark Side. As Kreia says on numerous occasions, the Sith is a belief, and you don't become a Sith until you subscribe to its philosophy and share those beliefs. Atris clearly did not (yet) fully do so when you fought her.

I believe Kreia was referring to herself when she said "there must always be a Darth Traya", she was taking up that mantle herself to provide the Exile with the final obstacle to complete the training. (Though of course she intended Atris to believe she was referring to her, and not herself.)

My opinion is that she subscribed to the philosphy. I think that all of those Sith Holocrons with the fact that she was falling to the dark side made me think that she found true power in the sith teachings.

Of course, this is just my personal opinion. There is no facts that currently state that is what happened. :p
