I could be wrong, but if you put the Feat Required: War Veteran property on an item, that may do the trick. Although I can't recall if any of the other party members also get this feat. I know the PC gets it either on Character creation or his/her first Level Up... Can anyone confirm?
Lorden Darkblade
It would be better if he used Kotor Tool. In it there is a option to make it like this: PC Limitation, then for only the PC it is selected **** or something like it.

Good call Uchiha Itachi, I was looking at that and thought it (****) was just the entry for a blank line... didn't bother to even try actually "adding" it to the properties list Thanks for the confirmation! monkey joe
I had a question too...whenever I save my .uti files in my override, like none of them work. Then all the sudden I tried two more and they worked, but I don't know how to open them and see what was different.

Ranging from a mis-spelled console entry (gotta love invisible typing ) to TSL's sometimes odd behavior of retaining save game info.. Have you tried loading it in a new game, or even perchance a newly loaded area? Also, what exactly have you edited? It could be an inherent problem with the item(s) itself... monkey joe
Oh, well I tried to make a armband, a belt, a lightsaber, a robe, and some other stuff. Only the robe and the lightsaber worked. I'll try starting a new game.
Lorden Darkblade
Did you used Kotor Tool or the GFF Editor?
monkey joe
Kotor Tool, why?
Lorden Darkblade
Because it is easyer to screw things in the GFF Editor if you don't know exactly what you're doing Ok, what have you modified in the items that are not working? Could post here please?
monkey joe
Oh, I got angry and deleted them, I guess I can make another one and It'll be just as unsuccesful. Hold on a sec Edit: ok I got one, I have 7 properties and changed the number into a name, and it didn't work.

If your new to editing (as I am) my "similar" prob was I couldn't get them to work when I made them either. I learned that even silly things like nameing formats make the difference. In my case I accidentally named my .uti file with a I instead of an F in a robe. Took me forever to find that.
monkey joe
Yeah, but I just now figured out why my .uti mods weren't working, because for most of them I loaded up about 20 properties and none of them worked. The most properties I've gotten so far is 8.
