Characters you thought worked well/ones you didn't...

The Distorted

Ok, I've been playing TSL again in a different way then I've played in the past so I've developed new respect for some characters.

Atton, well I'll always love him and this time around I've made more use of his natural talents. Pretty deadly as a Ranged Jedi and who knew he and T3 actually made one of the best pairings I've used yet especially on GOTO's yahct.

Mira as well, even though I've made her a Jedi again I've done it much earlier and kept her concentrated on Ranged attacks.

I have to confess that in the past I often ignored the special abilities most of the characters come with trying to make them into my uber Jedi strike force as I had with Jolee and Juhani but I've discovered if you pay attention to their attributes and concentrate on feats that go with that you're better off (yeah I know no brainer to some)

HK47 with specialised equipment and Ranged capacity he's actually a much better killer this time around and still funny as hell.

T3 not just for computer hacking anymore. Some of the new droid weapons are inspired especially the personalised accessories making T3 a force to be reckoned with. It's also good you can talk to him a bit more and he and Atton quibbling is just too cute.

Bao Dur - Finally got him as Jedi making him infintely more usefull especially as he is excellent as a melee fighter. His shield breaker is good at first but frankly loses it's usefullness quite quickly but his strength combined with some high level force powers more then makes up for it. Unfortunately you seem to lose all benefit of conversation with him quite quickly.

Visas - again very useful as a Jedi sidekick and can has dual purposes as either ranged or melee.

Mical - Once you get Mical you find out some really useful things about Jedi, yourself etc and trained up he's another awesome Jedi fighting machine. I don't see the problem with a soldier/Counsular I've played this mix of character before it's actually quite a powerful combo, giving you the power feats of a soldier with the quicker leveling of force powers. If you don't go for his love interest though he does get boring quickly.

GOTO is still the most useless to me, if you unlock Remote's potential to fix droids in combat then this makes Bao Dur even more useful.

I like that nearly every character can help you in some way by giving you new powers or feats or modifiers to your stats. However because of the bugs in the system conversations can be difficult to navigate to unlock potential. Also you get caught in convo loops as already explored options never go away.

Often times this game is very lonely, there isn't enough adlibs from your companions on various planets and sometimes takes many levels to get new conversation from them if at all, although, it must be said the cut scenes on the ship between characters certainly makes them more lively then Kotor I. Just wish they would do more of it whilst on missions like in the first game.

Note: I left out Kriea because she is very usefull to help you gain force powers and knowledge and modifiers etc but she's still annoying as hell but again usefull in a battle as well.

PS: Atton is not Carth in anyway shape or form. Please.
