Now i try to test it in game and it shows up only as grey colour xC Now what could be wrong?? I have all the texture files and all the files needed in my override folder. ChAiNz.2da
grey color as in "un-skinned" or grey color as in no "shiny" metal? if it appears unskinned, the name of your .tga's are incorrect or the model variation in your .uti is off. At least those would be the first 2 culprits to check.. If there's no shiny parts, check to see if you have an included .txi file defining your shader (such as CM_Baremetal). The .txi file should be named exactly the same as your skin .tga (except with a .txi extension)...
Juha Avery
As youve seen the scythe doesnt have any shiny parts, and i dont have any TXI files :/. How can i ermm make or get one. Or something?
T7nowhere
If the texture is not showing it could also be due to the odd Texture size of 200x698
Juha Avery
What should it bE?
T7nowhere
Textures should always be a perfect square even if only a 3rd of it is being used. Another thing that will cuase the texture to appear dark is having the Diffuse in Material properties set to grey. Setting it to white will make a HUGE difference in the clarity of the texture. Juha Avery
I cant change the texture, if i change the the width, then the hights gets even more bigger.
T7nowhere
Juha Avery you should contact MudRat02 and make him aware of the problem.

T7nowhere
Send him a PM. In order to fix it he will most likely have to re-map and compile the model again.
Juha Avery
It could be that it only has the problem on my com, or do you have the same prob, if you have tried it?
T7nowhere
On my PC the Diffuse on the model is to grey and it makes it difficult to see the texture, But I can see the texture under the right lighting. I know though that many graphics cards or will not be able to use textures that are not a perfect square, The dimensions should also be anywhere from 64x64, 128x128. 256x256, 512x512 1024x1024. You said something bout changing the diffuse in material properties to white, in what program can i change it? Photoshop? I turned my game's brightness to full and i saw the texture there. So it might work if i change the material thingie?
Colma Adawin
Taken from the Original Thread [ SWG Sythe ] Hey guys! right, i've come across some 'kinks': i've tested it in-game, it works, BUT theres no Texture: http://img105.echo.cx/my.php?image=pic22tx.jpg i believe the reason is in this pic: http://img105.echo.cx/my.php?image=pic3ew.jpg i see ppl's unique weapon .tga's and its scattered, so i think that it applys to this. can anyone lend assistance to these chaps, i'd like to see this blade into this game as much as the two modders Thank you MattCole
Juha Avery
I believe the reason they are scattered in some tga's is that that way they are easier to map on the model??? I can see the texture now in the game with full brightness, somehow i would need to get it work with normal brightness too. Ill try to turn the texture file more brighter or something, ill report if i get it working better.

T7nowhere
@ MudRat_02 If you make the diffuse White in the Material properties in gmax then the texture will be much brighter.
