Ok, I need some people advice. I am a member of this (somewhat) large forum with around 10,000 members. One of the admins whose Username is "AJ" is kinda hard @$$ and is most of the time.. really strict. So, about a week ago I got a PM from another admin telling me sig was too big in size, but... he wasn't the one telling me to change my sig, it was AJ. That really ticked me off seeing as how he (AJ) didn't have all of two minutes to send the PM himself. NO, he had to send someone else to do it. That got me rather "upset" to say the least and I was already tired, angry, and in a bad frame of mind. So, me being the impulsive type... did something really stupid. I made a thread flaming AJ (usually flaming an admin is a VERY bad thing ;) ).

Well, after I went to sleep that knight and I woke up in a much better mood... I rememeber what a stupid thing I did. This happend around a week or so ago and I haven't visited there since. I got a PM from one of my buddies on the forum who was rather shocked. Go figure.

So my question is this...

Should I

A: Stop visiting that forum for a while and wait til everyone forgets what happend

B: Keep on visiting and posting and just ignore my sutpidity

C: Write a formal apology to AJ for me being an @$$hole.

I am not very good with people, and I am even worse when it comes to confrontaions in public with people that I know. I need some advice from those of you who are more socially "gifted" because right now I am hiding in a hole and not even browsing that forum. :(

FYI, yes I AM a nerd and don't get out much =P

Well, there are several ways to approach this.

What would I do? Just delete the thread and pretend it never happened, and if anybody says anything about it, say "I don't know what you're talking about." Just like George did when he quit his job on an episode of Seinfeld.

What is the right thing to do? PM or make an apology thread to the admin, telling him the circumstances under which you did it.

The decision is yours...

Well I'd post the apology in the thread you started flaming him/her to begin with ;) If you make an error simply try to rectify it yourself.

I'd also do a PM to the moderator and say your sorry like you mean it. :)

Tempers can abound especially when others conflict so stongly with you. I'm not sure as to what instance your referring BUT-

When I often post in the Ahto Spaceport Cantina in threads with certain topics I can become VERY heated VERY quick if I think there's a "narrow-minded" view opinon posted. Bashing or making light of in any way americans of multi color or in general races of multi color (in my eyes ALL are human and therefore of the same ilk). I despise prejudice against jews, muslems, buddists, gays, satanists, etc. I've yet to even be warned by a moderator and consider most of them "invaluable" to my (and everyone's modding) I would not want to offend a potential friend. You never know when you'll need one :D

THEREFORE

I always try to "bow out" with a simple "very bad taste" post cause' if I stay online I'll end up really saying what I think. That works for me. :D I might be General Kenobi but nothing turns me into my alter ego "Darth Kenobi Kill U" when I read those. I just think the world is way to fuc#@% up without us adding to what most of us consider just a bit of fun free time of helping and modding with others. :D

SO......I'd definately apologize if you acted like an ass and made an issue out of yourself you should do the same and make with the apology :D

I know if I were a moderator and you really did something that offended "people" in general with a comment I'd have a "meeting" on it if you didn't make with the apology quickly ;)

Hope everything works out for ya man
