A Jedi Knight server browser?

Is there any way to locate games for Jedi Knight? I've tried the All seeing eye but that doesn't have support for it. It's going to be very hard to find some games by i.p address all the time. :indif:

The game is dead. But there's some dude running a "dedicated" server with two instances.

You can connect via TCP/IP to

jk.servegame.com or 24.225.221.216

Or you can find games via irc.holonet.org #nar

The latest version of Qtracker (http://www.qtracker.com) lets you launch a server with QT Uplink and let other Qtracker users see your server, from a master list.

Of course previous versions of Qtracker had JK/MotS support, but once the JK.net IP board went down permanently in 2001 it was effectively "broken" (LAN only) until recently.

You can also of course hook up games with people on GameSpy Arcade (you can find people with the game installed and set one up in their rooms for example).

The MSN Gaming Zone I'm not sure about. I heard they were removing support, but then I heard they were just taking it off the main page advert, so it might still be supported there. Kali I'm not sure about, but it was a pay service so I never bothered to join.

Many old "dead games" still have ways to play them online, so it's difficult, but not impossible.

Interesting about the "dedicated server," I'll have to check that one out!

me clicking Find internet games in the JK Folder.

Qt says:Connecting to Qtracker Master

Qt says: Finished refreshing

Result: o.oo Games.

The jk zone rooms are still up btw, but empty.

GSA carries them you just create your account and then lookup people who have games installed like you do. I always was able to find a handfull of people with JK/MotS installed, so you just invite them to come to your "room" and get a game going. And that's fine because JK/MotS didn't run very well with large numbers of people outside a LAN anyway (8 players is about the max you could do well with broadband).
