Anyone see Layer Cake yet?

I saw a trailer for this film on the Kung Fu Hustle DVD or something like that and it looked pretty good. It came out today. Had I known, I woulda gotten it prestreet from work. Now I have to wait 21 days until it's free. Just curious to see if anyone saw it and what they thought.

It got pretty good reviews when it came out over here, but nothing like as much popularity as ones like Lock Stock and Snatch.

I never bothered going to watch it as the trailer made it look too much like a clone of those films (that and i've been overloaded by bad uk gangster films over the last few years... we really ought to try another genre).

I rented it anyways. It was a good film, you should check it out if you liked the others

 

I never saw Snatch or Lock Stock. Layer Cake isn't really haha funny like the other two supposedly are. It was more dark humor than anything else.

i swiped it up right away as i had seen it months ago. finnally got my buddy to watch it too, i had been telling him all summer we had to watch it, and hes blows me off until he sees the trailer on his kung fu hustle dvd, then hes like 'we should watch layer cake' i almost strangle him
