McCusto Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I found a little error in the Anakin vs. Obi-Wan duel. When Anakin is Choking Obi-Wan, one second Obi-Wan is holding his lightsaber, the next, he is holding Anakin's lightsaber! Take a look at these shots to show you. Before After
El Sitherino Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 Known about, it's because they took out the scene where they use eachothers sabers. Ben Burt isn't exactly the greatest editor ever.
Darth Rossi Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 i would have expected Lucas to do better than that. oh well its only a lightsaber.
coupes. Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I even noticed this in the trailer... but I was kind of expecteing it was only for the trailer. Meh.
Kurgan Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 Ah the classic dueling cliche! (See Shakespear's Hamlet) And we haven't heard anything about the scene being cut back into the DVD... so... PWN3D!
Kurgan Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 Probably both! Homage to a cliche. But it was removed so we'll never know.
McCusto Posted October 8, 2005 Author Posted October 8, 2005 Just like in the Luke vs. Vader duel in ROTJ, you can see Darth Vader holding 2 lightsabers, but then is magically disappears!
El Sitherino Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 Probably both! Homage to a cliche. But it was removed so we'll never know. No, I mean most movies that do that are usually referencing or paying homage to it. Not that Star Wars does no cliche's.
Kain Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 Just like in the Luke vs. Vader duel in ROTJ, you can see Darth Vader holding 2 lightsabers, but then is magically disappears! You got a picture of that?
Kurgan Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 No, I mean most movies that do that are usually referencing or paying homage to it. Not that Star Wars does no cliche's. So it's not a cliche, because everyone does it on purpose? If anyone ever finds out the universe will explode (or possibly implode) due to the paradoxicalness of it all... heh
Jeff Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 I'm surprised they didn't edit that scene... I wonder if they even missed it, or if they figured nobody would notice.
El Sitherino Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 So it's not a cliche, because everyone does it on purpose? Most = all? Come on Kurgan, you know what I mean. Besides, I think you and I both know most of the PT is a throw back to Hamlet (and a few other Shakespearean works).
