"serious"? You mean no over the top moves and outrageous gore (the hallmark of the series)?

Hmm...

MK itself is basically a parody of bad martial arts movies anyway. Anyway, I'm more old school... I wouldn't be able to identify the characters in the last two sequels probably.

Well, I liked Annihilation even though it was terrible. First time I saw it I was like 8 so give me a break. :p

Sub-Zero still pawnz :D Hopefully they will include him in the new movie.

And hopefully our favorite bicycle kicker isn't pushing up daisies in this movie.

annhilation was meh. They tried to cram too many characters in it just for the sake of having them.

also, nightwolf had the lamest line in the movie:

"Cool huh? It's my ANIMALITY!!"

sounded like he discovered some kind of new revolutionary sexual position.

Anihilation was compelling, in a weird way. But it was also awful. :D

The TV series looked fun in a cheesy anihilation kind of way, but i never watched it.

But i'd have to say the original was perfect in every possible way.

I wish they'd given Sonya some more muscle. She wasn't convincing as somebody who could snap a person's neck with her flab (no offense to the actress, she was plenty cute, just not convincing as somebody who could whoop a$$ in a fist fight).

Isn't that how all martial arts fighters go into battle?

I mean the goal is to distract your opponent, not to actually physically defeat them! ;)
