Emperor Devon
I just have a few questions about KOTOR. What exactly do the anti-aliasing and frame buffer effects options do? There's an obvious difference with the graphics between this and this. What would I have to do to improve them to that level? I have a 256 MB graphics card. Det. Bart Lasiter
Antialiasing smooths the textures, making their edges clearer, thus making the entire texture appear clearer. Frame-Buffer Effects are just various effects, for instance the motion blur during Force Speed. To improve to a graphics level like that, I'd recommend a GeForce 6800 Ultra or more. That way you'd keep your game's performance (FPS) way up, and be able to max out settings like AA and Ansiotropic to get the quality up as well. You might also try increasing your resolution to a high level, I'd recommend 1280x1024.
Emperor Devon
Would getting a 512 MB graphics card do the trick?
Det. Bart Lasiter
No, most games aren't programmed to take advantage of the extra memory, plus those are fairly hard to find. Go with a high numbered GeForce if you have the money.
Emperor Devon
Would a GeForce 6600 suffice?
