Never seen one myself. They're an atmospheric phenomenon that makes the sun look like it's got small Mickey Mouse ears. biggrin.gif

It takes all kinds... The question is, what is 'it'?

not quite. I have seen one(I think), its a atmospheric phenomona where there seems to be a second sun off to either or both sides of the sun. Am I right?

Ah, you are sooo incorrect:

f you take the time, you can see these optical phenomena quite often during the winter months, especially when the sun is lower in the sky. If cirrus clouds are present bright, colored spots may appear to the left, right or both sides of the sun. The technical term for a sundog is "parhelion" from the Greek meaning "beside the sun." The next time you're outside, look up. If the weather's dry and cirrus clouds are in the sky, you may be in for a real treat!

For more information, check our Weather Glossary for parhelion.

You guys are complaining about him in a THONG???

Man... I remember the good old days when GUNNER, Master Lynn, Lt. Guilo, and I would hop up on stage in the middle of a thread and start stripping, singing, and dancing for no apparent reason! Back when the Old Dawgs were known as The Stallions. I really miss those days. frown.gif

But that's besides the point!

*hops up on stage*

C'mon, Gun-Dog! For old times sake?
