Here are my system specs. there the same as for KOTOR I yet I can play that game perfectly, why can't I play KOTOR: TSL in this case? I installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled 3-5 times, I even updated my drivers, yet I can't play at all.

Is your video card on-board (not a seperate card)? That seems to be the problem.. especially since the game starts out in cinematic/tutorial mode...

Try lowering some of your video options such as turning off grass, lowering (or disabling) anti-aliasing/antisoptric filtering.. kill Frame Buffer Effects, and/or if worse comes to worse.. disable movies (though that should be a last resort)...

I don't think it's a video card problem. If it was, you'd at least be able to start the game and at least see the program start up before crashing. This time, pressing on the "Game" button results to nothing happening (if I understood it right).

I'm pretty sure it has then, nothing to do with the video card.

I have no memory of a similar problem and no idea what specifically is wrong, I do hope somebody else has a solution.

Have you tried patching the game first DarthKnight?

I have had this exact problem on my laptop... and I don't have any good news for you, dathknight

I had the exact same graphics card as you on my lap top, and at first the game wouldn't start at all, but I messed aroud with my settings and got the game to start, but that's about it. What you want to do is start the launch screen, then click on configure; once you're there, a screen full of options should appear, you have to check the "disable movies" box and the "disable sound" box, also make sure the resolution is set to 800x600 and the texture pack is set to low, also make sure the V-sync box is unchecked. Once you did all of the above, click on "apply" and then on "close", and the just launch the game normally, the game should launch normally, but don't get to exited... After you click on "new game" and create a character, then a loading screen will appear, and you won't be able to get passed that. I played around with my openGL sttings, but in vain... the game won't get passed the loading screen with an integraded Intel graphics card (unless I'm very much mistaken). Once I upgraded my graphics, then the game started playing normally...

I finally got KOTOR: TSL to work and Ive been playing hours and hours, except with no sound, the onyl way I can even access the game is if I disable everything on the Configuration.

Is there anything I can do to get sound and still have access to the game? I actually unclicked everything to see if I could even launch it, appearently I cannot. whats up?
