Den of Earth
Just wondering if anyone knows what the communication array on space stations does. I thought it was for calling in reinforcements, but saw in another thread that the supply hardpoint serves that purpose. Anyone know?
jedi3112
I don't know what it does, but destroying the supply dock took care of the ship reinforcements, and blowing up the hangar took care of the fighters. My best guess is that it's used combined with the supply dock or that it's used to launch ground based weapons such as the ion cannon and hypersomething gun. Den of Earth
I see, thanks. I will see if it has any effect on the planetary weapons when it's destroyed, but its probably just the minimap, as Dirk stated.

popcorn2008
It's just for show, to take up space on the space station and give it extra HP. It will probably be more used in single player mission, such as protect the comm. array so lord vader can communicate with you etc. It dosn't disable the mini map.
