toms Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Is it possible to drive a Podracer at 900 mph or more without a windshield or face mask? Could you survive a 50-foot fall into a snow bank like Luke Skywalker? Can you avoid freezing to death in a blizzard overnight by gutting a dead animal like a tauntaun and getting into its carcass? http://www.starwars.com/community/news/rocks/f20060127/index.html [edit]fpr a long article it actually doens't go into much detail about the points above (i guess they are saving that for the actual show) but is more about their trip to ILM. Interesting anyway..
TiE23 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 My favorite movies and one of my favorite shows, coming together? YAY!
Katarn07 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 When is this on? As TiE said, great movies with great TV is awesome.
Jeff Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Awesome! I'll have to check this out. I usually don't watch Mythbusters, only once in a while, but sometimes they can have some really neat stuff!
abcd1234 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I love Mythbusters. Overall I think that the Discovery channel has some amazing shows, like Dirty Jobs. It is pretty cool that so many of them worked for ILM.
Zappa_0 Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Yea sounds awesome. Ive just started watching the show and its pretty awesome!
jon_hill987 Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 My answers to those: 1. Podracing: You might survive but as that is faster than the speed of sound (in this atmosphere at least) you would be pretty messed up. 2. Snowbank: depends on how well packed the snow is. 3. Dead meat: it would keep you alive much longer that is one hell of a lot of insulation between you and the elements. The show sounds like "Hollywood Science" on BBC, havn't seen that in a while though.
