Shem
Updated on 6/28/06 Thanks to Nema_Suneimi for pointing out this bug. Please note that I didn't take this bug report that serious since it had been almost 5 months since the release of the mod and felt that if it was a problem on my end, it would have been reported. I have no learned that people tend to not report bugs to help us modders out to fix it. This should be a lesson out there for those who are reading this. Report the bugs ASAP. I have now released this mod on 3 different web sites. PCGM is great for updated (too bad it's going down hill because it it's not going to get fixed). Getting this updated on the other two sites will be a new challenge for me to tackle. Bao-Dur uti file was a problem. After I released this mod, I learned in the KOTOR games you can't name uti files with the exact name of your party members. Something in the name has to be different or something added to it. I named Bao-Dur's clothing (that acts as a Jedi robe) "baodur". That will corrupt the the party member. So I changed it to "baodur1". I actually had this baodur1 file already created and in fact I have been using it for a while. I actually had both the baodur1 and the baodur files created. For some reason in my person game, I was always using the baodur1 file. It's been too long for me to know why it ended up that way. I learned about how this bug works by testing new stuff I made for my personal use for my party members. Anyway, after this was brought to my attention (to make a long story short), I realized later what I have done in the release of the this mod and knew that the bug was for real and I know many out there have experienced it and refused to report it. You only hurt yourselves when you don't report the bugs because I won't know what to fix and make your gaming experience with my mods better if I don't know about it. This file has now been UPDATED on PCGM. For those who need to get this fixed (who especially don't have any modding skills), you will need to go and re-download it and reinstall the mod. Title: Prequel Style Robes Author: Shem Date Release: 2/3/06 http://www.pcgamemods.com/mod/8835.html Updated Link http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Prequel_Style_Robes;65367 Description: Thanks to Darth Moeller, Achilles, Oldflash, & Svösh, I was able to make 28 new robes to enhance the game. Also in this mod, I have changed all of the robe .uti files. Each robe has new modified stats. I also have changed every robe that had was using a master robe to the Padawan style. In addition, each of your party members have their own robe that only they can use. The Exile also has his/her own robe. Kreia and Visas just have robes to give them stat boosts since the other members do. It will not change their looks. I did give Bao-Dur his own clothes that act as a Jedi robe. They look like armor, but do not restrict Force Powers or dexterity and they come with modified stats to enhance Bao-Dur. Your party member robes will drop in your inventory when they enter your party. Atton, Mical, Mira, and Brianna also will have a Sith robe drop in your inventory for those who will use them for the Dark Side. The Exile's Jedi and Sith robes are on the Harbinger. You'll find them on the corpse of a Republic soldier. This mod is compatible with my Real Names Mod where the Disciple's real name is Mical, and the Handmaiden's real name is Brianna. There are other little surprises in the game that I will let you explore and find out. Comments: Comments, and feedback are always good. If you wish to tell me what you think, do it in the LucasForums at Taris Upper City Emporium. Your comments are greatly appreciated. A Very Special Thanks : Thanks to Darth Moeller, Achilles, Oldflash, & Svösh for making this possible. *DarthMoeller for the use of the tabbards from his Movie Style Jedi Robes Mod* *Oldflash for the use of the belts found in his Jedi Robe mod* *Svösh for his remapped Jedi Robes for TSL* *Achilles for releasing the templates* The templates I used can be found... http://www.pcgamemods.com/mod/18173.html Instructions: Put all the files in the override directory folder and enjoy the new robes. You will need Svösh's collar fix for this mod to work properly. You can find it at http://www.angelfire.com/crazy2/xclone_0101/kotor_mods.htm/ Terms of Use: If you want to use the work I have done in a future mod, just please give me credit for what I did. Also give credit to Darth Moeller, Achilles, Oldflash, & Svösh for use of their templates.
Jeff
Looks good Shem. I always liked the prequal-style robes a lot, so these will make a nice addition to my override

Shem
I like that Crimson/Red robe the most. Darkside here I come! I did crimson robes for the Dark Padawan and the Dark Jedi robes to give some variety to the Dark Side robes. Of course the tag numbers can be changed so they can be Knight and Master robes if so desired.
The Source
Nice color combinations. There are some that scream at you though... Hehehe.. I will download this tonight..
Zerathustra
Nice package! The variations from original robes are subtle just the way I like it. They all look like something a Jedi/Sith would wear. This is my newest "always installed" mod.

Shem
I have winRAR, but my computer crashes everytime I use it. That's weird. If I had put this in winzip, do you realize how huge this file would be?
stoffe
I have winRAR, but my computer crashes everytime I use it. You can try to use 7-zip instead to extract the Mod, it is capable of unpacking RAR archives.
Jeff
Well trust me, it's your computer, not winrar that's causing the problems, because it works perfectly fine for myself and many others. So I'd recommend trying to figure out the problem because it could lead to other problems Or just ignore the problem and use stoffe's link. Lucid Aeon
Hey, great mod I must say it's the best robe mod I have seen so far, IMO. Unfortunately I can't get it to work properly. I installed it, but only the padawan style robes have changed. All the Knight/Master type robes remain the same. I didn't have any other robe mods in my override, with the exception of svosh's robe collar fix. Any ideas on what might be causing this? I'd appreciate any input anyone may have, Thank you kindly. Nodakrattler
Are you spawning new robes in your game? I ask this because if you're loading an old save with these robes already in your inventory the changes for the master robes won't be seen until you respawn them. This is because the game saves the .uti info in your save and Shem edited the .uti's to make the changes to the master robes. So I would say try to spawn new ones with KSE or cheats, and if that fails try installing it again.
Lucid Aeon
Ahh OK... That's exactly what it was. Thanks for pointing this out. I just spawned new robes with KSE and it works fine. I have a lot of old saves catalogued from several different characters. That's too bad that the Master robes won't change on the old saves w/o respawn. Oh well, I'm just being picky, nevermind me. It's still an awesome mod, definitely a keeper from now on. Thanks again for the help.
Nema_Suneimi
Hi Shem, I really enjoy your mod -- was sad that Bao-Dur was limited to the miner's uniform or plain clothes if he wanted to use certain force powers -- but I ended up having a problem with Bao's clothes. When I added the mod halfway through my last game, I console-added everyone's outfits, and after a while a Bao twin would appear in the Ebon Hawk or sometimes after loading into a new zone Bao's clothes would be gone (at the time I just console added a new set). After starting a new game, however, I couldn't get Bao to even join my party after I crashed onto Telos. I get to talk to him while he's in the black jumpsuit, but after the party member screen pops up (and he's not listed), I escape the menu and find a different Bao in plain clothes who just stands there -- I can talk to him as if building up influence, but nothing really happens. I've only just started with using Kotor mods so I'm not sure how to tweak the files with Kotor Tool to fix this issue. In the meantime I just removed the Bao files and kept all of the other robes (because they're awesome!), and opted for ChAiNz's Bao-Dur's Charged Armor: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?p=2106837#post2106837
Jacen Morn
Hi Shem, I really enjoy your mod -- was sad that Bao-Dur was limited to the miner's uniform and his new clothes are great -- but I'm having a problem with it. The first time I used it I was in the middle of the game and used the console to add the outfits, but now that I'm starting another game, I can't get Bao-Dur to add to my party. I see the cut-scene of the crash on Telos and I go through my convo with him (he's wearing the black jumpsuit), but after he's supposed to join the party, he doesn't show up in the party window and when I escape the menu I see Bao-Dur in plain clothes, instead. I can talk to him, but that's about it. I'm not familiar with modding KotOR or I'd try to tweak it or maybe even console add the NPC into my party, dunno if that's possible -- was hoping that this has already been addressed. In any event, if I can't figure out how to adjust the mod I'll just remove it until after I get Bao-Dur and then console add whatever I've missed! I have the same problem
Shem
Hey, Nema_Suneimi. I'm almost willing to bet it's a mod conflict (certain mods mixing together badly) is the reason why you're having trouble with Bao-Dur in my mod. Because it works from my end and this is the first I've heard of this problem after having this mod released for almost 5 months.
Nema_Suneimi
Heh, you quoted my post only minutes before I edited it! The mod is working well for me after I removed the files associated with Bao-Dur -- I still get the great Exile gear and robes for the rest of the crew. And I think that ChAiNz's charged armor mod is just wonderful for Bao. Thanks for responding! Hmm... It might be related to Svosh's mods? I know yours required the collar fix mod -- when I installed that Svosh's read-me said to also get the male / female master & padawan robes model mod. Those three were the only ones I had in the Override folder at the time. Is it possible to use your mod without Svosh's robes model mod? I forgot to mention that I was sometimes getting null grenades in my inventory, as well (which I briefly read about somewhere on the forums but forgot what it indicates). I'm going to try removing the robes model mod to see what happens, anyway...

You will need those in order to use this mod or the robes will be really funny looking.
Jackel
I forgot to mention that I was sometimes getting null grenades in my inventory, as well (which I briefly read about somewhere on the forums but forgot what it indicates). You normally get null grenades from missing uti files or if you have used the console to add them a mistake in the way they have been typed.
