innerfears
When Atris and Kreia are talking about the last of the Jedi, etc. etc. no one ever makes mention of Bastila... is she completely in hiding with Carth or what? There better be some resolution to that in the third one. Everyone seems to think Exile is the last Jedi, then Atris says she is, not even the Jedi masters mention her. I believe that the game has two story archs, which conflict with each other. Bastila's fate is not really important to the story of the Exile. However, if you are a darkside alignment, you can open a door on Korraban, which a hologram of Bastila will explain some stuff. I have never seen Bastila in game besides in the hologram and in the hidden temple on Korriban.
igyman
I have. If you've chosen the light side ending of KoTOR 1 in your conversation with Atton on Peragus, you will have a chance to see Bastila alive and well after you destroy the Ravager. There better be some resolution to that in the third one. Everyone seems to think Exile is the last Jedi, then Atris says she is, not even the Jedi masters mention her. As I see it... Bastila is a Fallen Jedi (a lightsided one) who is completely irrelevant to the current plight of the Jedi Order in TSL. The Malachor Sith don't fight in a way where her Battle Meditation would make any real difference. They do quick surprise hit and fade strikes, not large staged fleet/army battles. The only thing her Battle Meditation would serve as would be as a tasty bait for Darth Nihilus. Even if Bastila still is a member of the Order (likely having been forgiven for her fall due to her help in blowing up the Star Forge), she's not a Master or Council member, who are pretty much the only Jedi who are mentioned, aside from Revan. Though her apperance in the company of Adm. Onasi (if you set Revan as a Lightside Male) would suggest that Bastila isn't a Jedi any more, probably having left the Order. Otherwise Adm. Onasi would have no reason to see the Exile as "the last of the Jedi" and go through such lengths to find her and bring her back to the Core Worlds (though that journey was cut short by Sion). Unless they needed "the last of the jedi with any experience training others to become Jedi".
innerfears
Oh yeah, that reminds me, when I talked to Kreia and she asked what kind of Jedi I wanted to focus on, I chose Master so I could train others... but I never ended up getting to.. how do you do that? I'm a light side Jedi Consular, I guess you have to gain more influence with Atton and Mira?

igyman
Yep, it's all about influence. It doesn't matter which prestige class you chose, you can train your party members into Jedi either way, you just need enough influence.

When it comes to the story about Bastila and her Battle Meditation, or Battle Meditation in general, in KotOR I it appears to be a powerful tool. As I use Battle Meditation in KotOR II, I don't see too much of an effect. What does it do that I am not seeing?
igyman
You are right - it is a lot weaker than in KoTOR 1, for direct use. However, you can use it as it is used by Bastila in KoTOR 1 on Onderon, when you gain entrance to the Throne room (you defeat that Drexl monster and enter) there's a cutscene of soldiers fighting, at the end of that cutscene you'll be given an option to either join the battle or use your Battle Meditation to help the soldiers on your side (this is assuming you even have Battle Meditation). Other than that I don't remember any more KoTOR 1 uses of Battle Meditation.

There better be some resolution to that in the third one. Everyone seems to think Exile is the last Jedi, then Atris says she is, not even the Jedi masters mention her. The Exile is the last of the known Jedi. Atris leaked the trial of the Exile to have the Sith come out and try to find him. Bastila's fate is unknown as far as the Sith know. JediMaster12
Is that Atris talking or is it Darth Traya, which was once Kreia's title?
innerfears
Atris. Surely you know what Kreia looks like.. nothing changes when she reclaims the title.
JediMaster12
What I meant was I thought that it was Kreia who leaked the Exile's whereabouts. The Exile had been wandering the galaxy since the end of the Mandalorian wars.
