Darth_Extas
If this has been brought up already you could show me a link to the location on the forum then lock the thread. I am curious in the the modders are using to change the textures because I can't seem to find a program on my computer that will edit/view the texture files. The texture files are .dds Is there a program you can direct me to that will allow me to modify them? This is a first time for me, in terms of modifying textures for "3D" Models. stingerhs
actually, i'm quite surprised that nobody has recognized the .dds extension on the textures. its a compression technique that's developed by Nvidia for compacting texture files. a lot more info here. Bob Lion54
Yea, what stingerhs said. Its no problem to change any of the existing textures. I made all the X-Wings purple as a test. No problems there. You just need the dds. extention for Photoshop. The problem right now is that there is no way to point the game to a new texture.(for a new ship of unit)
