ed_silvergun Posted August 2, 2001 Posted August 2, 2001 ....in all the screenshots, no matter which kind of troop is selected does it always say "Han Solo" on the HUD at the bottom?
Havoc Stryphe Posted August 2, 2001 Posted August 2, 2001 I don't have them in front of me, but there is the name of the commander of the army on each screen, which is probably provided by the player. So the Programmer who took the screen shots probably always uses Han Solo as his name. Secondly, it is still in beta phase, so it's possible they haven't programmed all the statistics of each unit (although, you would think the unit's name would be the first thing). So don't panic yet...let 'em polich it up real nice and all.
Paragon_Leon Posted August 2, 2001 Posted August 2, 2001 yeah, it's not like they play for a while and then take shots, either. notice the playing-time in the wookiee water-screenshot. 00:00:02 !! that's a mighty fast game if you can get so many things going on so fast..
Guest Tie Guy Posted August 2, 2001 Posted August 2, 2001 Companies always just make teh screenshots, rather than actually taking them. That makes it so they can show you the features they want to, with the people they want to, at teh time they want to.
Com Raven Posted August 2, 2001 Posted August 2, 2001 Another thing is that if you do a Skirmish game in AoK, the AI gets a name according to civ (great leaders and nobles) . I expect the same to go for GB, so it might be that the AI rebel you fight turns out to be Han Solo ....
Guest Tie Guy Posted August 2, 2001 Posted August 2, 2001 Hmm, that is interesting, Do they just choose it randomly, and why do they show his HP?
Compa_Mighty Posted August 2, 2001 Posted August 2, 2001 Tie, it is not the HP, is the score. The number before the "/" is the score of each player, the number after, shows the average score of all the team. Han Solo is just a name for it not to appear as "random AI #1" So if it shows 450/450 It means the player has 450 points and he's playing without a team. I f it shows 450/320 it means the player has 450 points, but his ally has less points and that is the average which is the second number.
JediMasterEd Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 people LOVE to have famous people as their names. (ex. King Edward, Prince John, etc.)
Darth_Rommel Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 Yes, me too (although my name isn't all that original)
