krelm
ARGH! This is probably the most annoying thing i have ever come accross in any game, ever! Is there any mod around that gets rid of this annoying "glitch"? It seems almost every time i want to enter a new area i have to re-form my party because one of the idiots is just standing still on the other side of the freaking map. Truly annoying. KOTOR2 seems to have gotten rid of this annoyance so perhaps someone found a way to get rid of it in KOTOR1 too? Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you. lord ignarn
Wellcome to the forums Krelm!!! I don´t know of no one mod that makes what you ask for, maybe what you should do is going to the Hollowan Labs forums, and there ask for the mod in Modding Requests, but I don´t think it´s possible to do what you ask. I believe that in kotor 2 the AI was better, so the party members didn´t stop while running, so the above listed message didn´t have to appear. Aurora Merlow
Sorry mate, not that i've heard of. I think you just have to deal with it, but my modding expertise is limited
PazaakPrincess
No mod I have seen. I had this problem a lot on my first run through of the game. I think it's more like practice makes perfect i.e take the time to "look around you" instead of running off everywhere this gives your NPC's a chance to sort of "lock" onto you and not get lost so much. I don't seem to have the problem anymore. Carth used to do this to me a lot in my first game besides running off half-cocked himself.

Achilles
^^^^ For the whole game? You can't leave a module in K1 without the rest of your party. If a member of your party gets stuck, you can't just remove them, because they have to be within a certain proximity to do so. The lead dev for K2 felt our pain though. He made sure that the engine was tweaked to avoid this being a problem in the sequel. As for a mod, I'm pretty sure this is a function of the game engine, meaning that is hardcoded
gandiva
I hated waiting for my party members to catch up. It was truly annoying. Out of all my party, Jolee and Carth always got stuck.
Prime
Just keep better track of where they are, and not wait until you are on the other side of the map before you notice they are not there.
TSR
i agree with gandiva- they are the usual suspects when i play as well. especially on manaan. grrrr...... their disobediance to follow makes me chuckle and then cry.
Point Man
I have found that when someone is missing, if I click on that person the others go to him. It makes it a little easier to get together. The best way to avoid getting split up is to run along for awhile, then stop and let them catch up. Then run along for awhile and stop again. Oddly, when I use my Force Speed they keep up. Go figure!
