Det. Bart Lasiter
For anyone here with dual 512 MB 7-series cards (7300 GS 512, ASUS Dual 7800 GT, 7800 GTX 512, 7900 GTX 512) and crashing issues with some games, nVidia has fixed the issue in driver release 84.20 beta, which you can get here. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, games like F.E.A.R and KotOR (the two games I have that have this issue) would cause a serious system crash (as in the computer turns off completely) after an extended time playing the game. Anyway, I've tested it (by playing F.E.A.R all the way through) and it's stable, and you'll see an increased framerate in these games with it
SpaceAlex
I have a GTX512 and these new drivers do indeed increase performace by 10FPS in some games. I can't tell if they fix the crashing issues though, because all 8X.XX drivers work perfectly for me. Never had any issues.
