Anyone seen this movie?

I saw this last night. Great movie. Long review ahead.

If you've seen Collateral with Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx, then you will find more than a few similarities between the movies. But each movie deals with a different philosophical/psychological aspect of the human psyche, and that makes both movies great.

Bruce Willis plays an over the hill cop by the name of Mosley, and Mos Def (yay) plays a criminal, Eddie Bunker, about to testify in a court 16 blocks away from Mosley's precinct. Things go ape **** when two hitmen try to kill off Eddie on the way there. Mosley finds out that some bad cops are behind it. And I won't continue the summary anymore for spoilers.

Sound like a typical made for tv movie doesn't it?

But then, what makes this movie interesting? The characters, and the philosophical aspect that shines in the movie.

In the movie, Eddie asks the question:

You're driving in a hurricane, and you see 3 people at the bus stop:

an old lady who's dying but can be saved with medical attention

your best friend who saved your life

and the girl of your dreams.

You only have room in your car for one passenger.

Who do you save?

The entire plot revolves around that question of trust and change.

Do you trust a criminal? Or do you trust your ex partner of 20 years?

I say, see this movie. Mikey gives it a 8.5/10

P.S. Can any of you answer Eddie's question? If you've seen the movie and know the answer, don't post it just yet. :)
