Darth Alec Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Is there anyone else that thinks that the rebels should begin with Y-wings? Seeing as the rebels had to steal the X-wing, and that they had the Y-wing from the start?
wuyanxu Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 so have the Z-headhunter as lvl1 antifighter squad together with Y-Wing?
Commander Obi-Wan Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 No. I think having X-Wings are just what is needed. I have no problem with it.
MistenTH Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 It does make sense. The Y-Wing is mentioned as being the main rebel fighter until X-Wings came into play. However, the existing Z-95 to X-Wing timeframe in the campaign is way too short to let you appreciate X-Wings (and since corvettes > fighters, we never appreciate them).
Slocket Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I guess the Rebels believe that 'carpet bombing' diplomacy is so much more efficient with small numbers when their free will living appeal message falls upon deaf ears. lol
†Saint_Killa† Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 X wings are just fine. Not to mention they take out fighters better than TIE's.
Darth Alec Posted March 22, 2006 Author Posted March 22, 2006 But they did start with headhunters and Y-wings in the beginning, so logic says that they should start with that. But I can see some balancing issues.
PoiuyWired Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 But... once you get x-wings you can't make Z95s anymore... I mean, the hunting ability of Z95s are actually useful... so you can ignore them and let them do some bomber hunting, while you use your good ships for missions.
