Black Knight of Keno Posted March 25, 2006 Share Posted March 25, 2006 It is the year 22 BBY and the Supreme Chancellor is unravelling his masterplan to become a dictator. However, this goes idly by with nobody there to see it as the senate and the jedi order seem to have a likeness towards Palpatine. This is not a 100% opinion, but those who think Palpatine is not what he seems to be are mostly overruled. The jedi council has recieved some changes after many 'accidents' happening on negotiations with the Seperatist factions. Yoda, Windu, Kenobi and Mundi are the only ones there with longer terms than most. Council members have been replaced with experienced jedi masters. The senate has stayed mostly the same and the vote for the formation of the Army of the Republic is nearing. Senator Amidala should be arriving to Coruscant any minute now. Unlike most jedi, he doesn't wear the traditional robes, but a slightly different version of it with a short cape and brown tunic(Like this) Blue eyes, 5'8" and a slightly more muscular body than most of his race Bio: His parents were an influential couple with a total of five children. Vaar was spotted by a jedi master when he was three and after a lenghty verbal argument with the Zabrak couple, the jedi took their firstborn away from them and to the care of the Jedi temple of Coruscant. Vaar was trained in the Bear clan and thought of his fellow youngings as his family. However, this changed when he turned 16 and was training under his first master, a female Twi'lek called Ashla Fiola. He had dreams of his family and of his homeplanet, Talus. The combat skills of the boy grew and his lust for knowledge grew with the dreams he was having. Veer's master encouraged the Zabrak boy to find what caused the dreams. Ashla spoke with the council and got the pair transferred to Talus on a trainig mission. It appeared that there had been a raid on Vaar's home city and his parents had been killed with his sisters but his brothers were still alive. The jedi tracked the boys down and got them safely to planet officials, where the boys parted again from each others after Vaar's brothers told much of his parents. When the jedi pair got back to Coruscant, Vaar got his knighthood. Even if he now was a jedi knight, he had much to learn and travelled around with as many different jedi as he possibly could, these including such legendary jedi as Ki-Adi-Mundi and Yaddle. By his late 20's, he had mastered the art of Jyuo and the art of Soresu, had trained three padawan learners, which one had died in a negotitation with the Seperatists and he had gained the seat next to Kenobi on the Jedi High Council. Writer Posted March 25, 2006 Share Posted March 25, 2006 I'm going with a more familiar character Name: Caitlin Bryce Age: 29 Sex: Female Race: Human Occupation: Jedi Appearance: Caitlin Bryce Bio: "If you're easily bored and don't have a lot of time, I suggest you don't ask," she teases when asked. Her parents worked closely with the Trade Federation and, when the Federation came up with an idea, the Bryce family volunteered to be subjects for the experiment. Caitlin was seventeen and was the least willing of the three. She was the only survivor. Her strength and sensitivity to the Force were increased as a result. Shortly after this experiment, Caitlin entered Jedi training under Riebe Sothe, not a Jedi herself, but the Jedi respected her knowledge of their teachings. Another side effect of the experimentation done on Caitlin was that she learned quickly. She had been in training for a little more than a year before she passed the Trials. At the end of her training, Caitlin was called a Jedi Knight, but she was given freedoms other Jedi would not be allowed. She bought a small ship and started building a sentient being transport system. Six months later, the SBT was one of the most successful transport systems in the galaxy and Caitlin bought three smaller ships to service Republic ambassadors. It was one of her ships that took Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi to the Trade Federation's blockade of Naboo. Its destruction prompted her to travel to Naboo, where she met up with Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and her old master, Riebe. While there, she also met the girl who would become her own apprentice, Erica West. Caitlin and Erica traveled with the Jedi and the Queen when they escaped Naboo. They were there when Anakin won the podrace and traveled to Coruscant with the group. There, they met up once again with Riebe. Caitlin officially took Erica as her padawan and they were sent with Riebe to the Outer Rim on a mission. On their way back, their hyperdrive malfunctioned, bringing them out of hyperspace near Naboo. Their ship was shot down and they crashed just outside of Theed. There, they watched as what seemed like a stray Naboo fighter launched and sped away toward the battle in orbit. When they came to the hanger and found the cloaks of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, they split up. Caitlin and Erica entered the palace while Riebe headed off to find the Jedi. Caitlin and Erica made it to the throne room just in time to see the door being slammed shut. They chased after and helped defend the Queen's decoy and returned to the throne room just in time to see the droids malfunction and collapse. Then, they cut through the door and, in the name of the Republic, they arrested the Nute Gunray. Riebe followed the trail of the battle between the Jedi and Darth Maul until she found Obi-Wan Kenobi cradling Qui-Gon's lifeless body. She stayed with him until he was ready to talk and helped him carry Qui-Gon out. When they regrouped and returned to Coruscant, they were all given a bit of time to meditate on what they'd experienced. Then, Caitlin and Erica were sent out again. Riebe left the Jedi, promising to return eventually, but did not say when. Caitlin has been training Erica for ten years now and Erica is nearing the completion of her training. ((Now you see why Caitlin warns you before telling her story )) Name: Erica West Age: 25 Sex: Female Race: Human Occupation: Jedi Padawan Appearance: Erica West Bio: Erica was abandoned by her parents on the streets of Coruscant when she was seven. She quickly learned to care for herself. By the time she was twelve, she was the leader of a gang of children who stole various items to keep themselves alive. When she was fifteen, she felt a strange attraction to a young woman she passed. In attempting to steal from the woman, she discovered that her target was a Jedi. For several weeks, she followed the Jedi around, always careful to keep out of sight. When the Jedi took a small ship to Naboo, Erica stowed away. The Jedi caught her on the streets of Naboo and sensed the Force within her. At that moment, Erica understood that it had been her destiny to follow this woman. Caitlin Bryce would train her. Only one man was in the dark blue open roofed speeder as it landed in the senate building, slowing down drastically. The speeder finally stopped in the midst of the hangar of many other speeders and the man jumped out, heading inside swiftly. The short cape of the Zabrak flapped behind him as he ran throught the practically empty halls if you don't count the senate guards by every doorway. The jedi fianlly slowed down and stepped into one of the repulsorpods and into the midst of to other jedi, Yoda and Windu. "Have they voted yet?" the new arrival asked and looked at Senator Amidala holding her speech to the senate even if her life was tried earlier that day. "No, not yet. Senator Amidala is stalling the vote" Windu said and looked at the Zabrak quickly before turning back to see the Supreme Chancellor listening to Amidala's speech. "Have Bryce and West reported in yet?" Vaar continued to ask and this time Yoda shook his head in answer. Curt-Man Posted March 26, 2006 Share Posted March 26, 2006 Name: Olen Vaetryk Age: 30 Sex: Male Race: Human Occupation: Jedi Knight Appearance: Wears a black cloak that shrouds his entire figure, but underneath his cloak he wears a light body armour over his chest, legs and arms. He wears gloves and thick boots. He has a hood covering his face in shadow. Bio: Olen was born into a thieves guild on Corillia, and at 3 his training started. He was trained in many martial arts, how to move silently, steal things invisibly and cut throats expertly. When there was a mass raid on a warehouse Olen was captured by the Guards, he was 12 at the time but still good. He was captured because someone had tipped the guards off that they were coming, and jedi were sent to protect the warehouse. The jedi felt a strong force pulse coming from him, it was why he was such a good thief at his age. The jedi took him to Coruscant. The jedi attempted to train him but no master could get into Olen's room without almost being assassinated, but Yoda did. Yoda got into his room and held Olen in mid air with the force, limbs extended fully. From there Olen was calmed and then was trained first to be on the right side of the law, then was trained in the force. Although a jedi he may be, old habits die hard, he still sneaks everywhere he goes and still uses his daggers. Olen was given a new master, and he took to his new master perfectly. Both fo them worked so well together, they fought as if they were one and they were both in tune with the force. Olen passed the trails with flying colours and was awarded knighthood when he saved his master from certain death and managed to stop a terrorist bomb threat at the same time. "On our way here, Erica got pulled through a very well-concealed doorway," Caitlin went on. "It was some kind of alien bar and they took quite a liking to her... pumped her full of some substance before I could get in and stop them." "We got out just fine," Erica said. "But it took a bit to get that junk purged from my system." "There's still a bit there," Caitlin added. "It's why some things may seem slightly amusing to her now. I imagine she should be back to normal in a few minutes." "And I've learned to keep an eye on my surroundings," Erica said. "A shame I didn't learn earlier..." She grinned again. "But we're not here to talk about ourselves," Caitlin cut in. She looked out on the Senate and Amidala's pod hovering near the center. Palpatine already has his army and those few who have been the mightiest of the army's opposers have suddenly gotten sick. Amidala and the others wil be overruled" the zabrak said and looked at the center where Amidala stopped and the pod hovered back to it's place. "Thank you, senator Amidala" Palpatine said and smiled kindly before looking around. "Ladies and gentlemen of the Republic, It has come the time to vote!" Palpatine continued and raised his hands into the air, raising a huge wave of screams of joy. Yoda's head fell and he grunted, Windu looked at the senate quietly and Vaar looked at Erica for a while before looking back to the senate. It took a while, but finally the vote was done. The Supreme chancellor smileda again and placed his hands on the table infront of himself. "Thank you senators. We shall gather tomorrow evening to hear the results" Palpatine said and his pod left down for his quarters below the senate chamber. "Done, the vote is. Army the Republic will get" Yoda said as his small seat lifted and left the senate repulsorpod with Yoda ontop of it. Windu sighed, stood up and left after Yoda, leaving Vaar with the Caitlin and Erica. "Hmh... They will send Kenobi and Skywalker to protect Amidala, I know it" he mumbled and shook his head, then turning to the other two jedi. "You should get Erica to the medics so she can get the rest of the stuff out of herself, Caitlin. After that you should report to the council. It'll be gathering in twenty minutes to discuss the situation" he said and walked to the door before suddenly turning and smiling at Erica. Erica did not hear her. Thoughtfully, she led Erica away from the Senate building. They got in an air taxi and Caitlin directed it to the Jedi Temple. There, she led Erica to the infirmary and explained what happened. The Healers were understanding and concentrated their efforts on removing whatever substance Erica had been injected with. "I feel much better," Erica said when they were done. "But I can't seem to remember what happened between the time I was dragged through that door and now. I have vague recollections of being at the Senate... have they voted?" "Yes," Caitlin answered. "And they shall announce the results tomorrow... though I don't think anyone doubts what the results are to be." "The Republic is dying beneath us, Caitlin," Erica said quietly. Caitlin nodded. "I do not think it is wise to listen to the Supreme Chancellor. we should not send Master Kenobi or his padawan learner to this mission" Vaar said and got some looks fro mhis fellow jedi. Windu was the one arguing with him. "Supreme Chancellor Palpatine has shown nothing that would make him unworthy of our trust" "That's just it. I know we are Jedi and we must trust the Republic, but this is no longer a Republic if it is up to Palpatine. Do you not see that he is starting to dictate everything around here? Soon the jedi willbe generals. You cannot have missed that" "Vaar is right" Ki-Adi-Mundi said and looked at Windu. Vaar leaned back in his chair and a very quiet sigh escaped from him. Windu leaned forwards and started to speak. "Welcome back to Coruscant, Master Bryce and Padawan West. We have been waiting for you to report in. How was your mission?" Master Windu said and looked at them closely after giving a short but meaning look to Vaar that he should keep his mouth shut about Palpatine. It seems that the Seperatists are ready to attack at any minute now. You and Battlemaster Eido will be the ones we send to meet the former jedi Count Dooku to try and negotiate eace before the Senate ooverrules the option and starts a war. Master Windu however looked at Vaar, giving her the turn to speak. "We shall leave as soon as the council is adjurned" the battlemaster said and looked at the padawan with a slight smile on his lips, mostly of amusement of the council's reaction to Erica's sudden choise to speak. Windu then turned back to the two jedi and nodded. "You are dismissed, my friends" he said and smiled at them. When they had left, Windu turned to Vaar, sighing. "They are as concerned of the future of the Republic as you are. If you can negotiate with Dooku now, Palpatine will be sent packing from the seat of the Supreme Chancellor" "Indeed. However, Dooku is influenced by the dark side, as the other jedi have reported. If this is true, we may still be heading to war" "It is a risk we must take. The ship had been modified to have two ion cannons and four laser cannons placed on it for defence purposes. Especially now that they literally went to the lion's den. The ramp closed and the ship took off steadily, turning for the open hangar doors and leaving Corsucant. Vaar sat quietly and looked at the jedi until a small flying robot with two large eyes and three hands with a tray placed on the one coming from under it. The droid's eyes turned as the droid prepared for orders. "What may it be, masters?" the droid asked and Vaar looked at the droid. "I'll just take water, Fogo" the jedi master said and smiled, turning to look at the other two jedi as did the droid. When the droid was gone to fetch them water, the zabrak leaned back on his seat and sighed. "It is a complete waste of time. The war will start whatever we try to do. Palpatine will get his war and he will also get the senate to declare state of emergency that will give him even more power" he said and shook his head. If it is that case, he has no real power but only does what his master tells him to do" Vaar said and looked at Erica. "But if Dooku is the sith lord we have been looking for since Naboo, we still cannot talk sence into him. If he is a sith lord, there is no hope of getting him back to the light side" the jedi master added before shaking his head. "The only way to end this situation here and now is to replace the Supreme Chancellor by any means necessary, but the jedi cannot as they are obliged to protect the Republic and the Senate and the senators are all corrupted by Palpatine and those who are not cannot do anything because they will be overruled if they demand for a vote for Palpatine's removal from office" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

"Yes, there will be a war, unfortunately." "If the corrupted senators outvote the honest ones, how can we get Palpatine out of office?" Erica wondered.
