Screenshots

Hi all. I did a search for my problem, but couldn't find anything definitive so I thought I'd pop in here to ask...

(I hope this is the right place to ask, but if not, mods feel free to move this if needed.)

 

I have screenshots enabled for both Kotor I & Kotor II.

 

The in game screenshots work just fine for both games, but for some reason I can not take screenshots of any cutscenes in Kotor I.

 

(Example: Kotor I: I tried taking screenshots on Dantooine during the Jedi training sequence but got absolutely nothing, except what got copied to my clipboard.)

 

I can take screens of anything in Kotor II; cutscenes, in game shots, etc... but not in Kotor I. I was able to get cutscene screens when I first installed the game, but now I can't.

 

I can take in game shots galore in Kotor I, for my mods and what-not, but I can't take screens of any cutscenes at all.

 

Do I need to do anything specific for cutscene screens in Kotor I?

(EDIT: I just realized, I have actually asked this question before, in this thread, but never got an answer that helped fix the problem. )

I've had similar problems like that as well (for KotOR I).. I wound up using Fraps instead.

 

If you don't want to go with a 3rd party software.. you can always play KotOR I in 'windowed mode'.. that for some reason will allow you to take screenies during a cutscene.

 

Of course, that requires having a save just before the cutscene happens and limits the "spontaneous" factor...

Yeah, it's absolutely the weirdest thing. I vividly remember being able to take screens of cutscenes when I first installed Kotor I, but for some reason or other, now I can't.

 

I may have to break down and get Fraps, because I really want to capture cutscene screens, but I just can't tolerate playing in windowed view...

Ok, now I have another problem...

 

I can take screens of ANYTHING in Kotor 2, but for some reason the in-game GUI isn't going away.

 

This just started happening. I know darn well that I have taken screens in K2 without the GUI showing before, but it's showing now.

 

In my swkotor2.ini file the GUIsInScreenShot=0

 

and I haven't edited that file in ages...

 

So, anyone know why this might be happening?
