idea for new units

I think it would be cool to have units that were like, cargo tanks or something. It would be a carrier that would carry supplies which could build temperary structures into battle for those defending. such as a small shield generator, sand bags to build a bunker, or even supplies to build walls infront of turrents. or maybe armored transports for troops.

i like the idea of troop transports very much. althought, strictly speaking, an ATAT is a transport.

 

id like to see elite infantry units. sure hordes of stormtroopers and rebel soldiers are fun, but the being able to get platoons of the elite guard that protect the ground commanders would be nice. make em look different though

i mean more for ground battles because it seems like some planets don't have much strategy. Just very expensive conquests. Like one time, i didn't want to destroy geonosis because it has so many build spots, but the rebels had tons of heavy factories on the planet. Their artilary took our 40 AT-AT's. I think the portable temperary structures would add more strategy in the game.

i think we need orbital bombardments, player controlled though, so you can select where to bombard (not overlook the base, but look at the planet and cities as a whole) and the defenders can use ion cannons/velocity guns etc. it would be cool, like in rebellion where you could target millitary or civilian parts of the planet

Some sort of combat engineering units would be cool...Might work well if the unit replaced build pads. I'd love to throw up a barricade to thwart enemy movement--or use some combat engineers to blow a path through a forest or wall or something to infiltrate the enemy base.
