Future of Star Trek

If anyone still cares at all for this franchise, here's some interesting tid bits regarding the next movie and the next game.

The movie is a prequel following the early days of Kirk and Spock at Starfleet Academy and their first adventure in space. Sounds rather lame to me.

Read the rest here. The Alias/ MI:3 guy is attached to it, but I didn't like either of those properties so could care less.

The game is gonna span across the Trek timeline. Apparently, an alien species that can travel through time is going to war with the Federation. Does this hint toward the Suliban from Enterprise? Love it or hate it, you gotta admit that Enterprise did have a rather cool concept with the Temperol Cold War. I stopped watching during season 4, so the last I saw of that story arc was the death of Silik. Could this next game be based off the Suliban or what?

That's because it is lame. especially as they need new actors and what does the world have to offer? Ben Affleck and Leonardo DiCaprio

and with the real Kirk and Spock, I don't think it'll be as good as it could be for a prequel

Thing is, Nemesis was supposed to be the film that resurected the franchise and went back to it's Kahn-esque roots... and by all accoutns it wasn't bad. But it still bombed.

They need to just take a break... because even if they do crank out a good film no-one is going to watch it right now.

Never really watched Enterprise... i remember thinking the idea was great... and the odd show i caught seemed ok... but both Voyager and Enterprise seemed very similar... and both knock offs of TNG. (plus you have stargate around ATM which is basically the same again... )

Star Trek needs a break, and then to come back with something totally different.
