Cmdr. Cracken
Today, Regal Cinema's Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. What does this have to do with you? I work for Regal. Yes, Regal is trying to restructure, and has indicated that buisness will remain as usual at MOST Regal owned cinema's. However, I'm not convinced. Regal's WILL be shut down. Payroll WILL be, and already is, being cut down to bare bones staffs, and short shofts, which equal for me, crappy hours. Now, why am I telling you this? Regal needs cash, and YOU guys have cash. Granted, not that much, but maybe if you could all get your friends family, and your families friends, and there friends to GO to Regal, the pinch won't be as bad. If you have multiple theater chains near you, pick Regal. Help Crackheads corperation, and go to Regal Cinema's! (Yes, this is a big giant plug, but a needed one. I do NOT want to be out of a job, and go the way of General Cinema's, and COMPLETLY close all our theaters. which would suck.)
Nute Gunray
Ever heard of National Record Mart/Waves Music? They've filed for Chapter 11 like nine times since 1975. And they've NEVER EVER EVER CHANGED EVER. I think they're bankrupt right now in fact. (and that's still not stopping them from giving me a free cd when i buy two classical CDs) My point: nothing will change at all. THANK YOU STATIC AMERICAN CONSUMER MARKET. GUNNER
We have a 17 screen Regal theater here in town and I hate to say it but it sucks bad. They usually only have 1 or 2 people working the ticket booth at peak hours and the line is a mile long to get in and then they have maybe 3-4 people working consesions and those lines take forever too but then you make your way to the hallway to the to get to the theater and there is 5 or more people standing there with brooms talking. And this is about 85% of the time I go there. the service sucks big time but they do lots of buisness because of the large movie selection. Sorry about your job though cracken. Guest Rune Haako
I used to go to Regal theaters all the time. Now I'm forced to go to AAFES theaters as there are no Regal's in Germany. I think I got f#cked on that one! Damn AAFES.
Guest Thrawn
I got to AMC or Lowes simply because they're the only ones around worth going to. ------------------ "Here, people don't lock their doors, they deadbolt them, and then stick a chair under the knob." Jem
At least you guys have cinemas... The only thing close to a cinema I can get over here is at the french military base. First of all a friend who lives there has to invite me then I have to get a visitor's pass that is valid until 23h00 (I almost got in trouble last time because I stayed over at my friends house, in the military base, and security thought I was a burglar... they would have hunted me if we didn't call them...) And not only it's not a real cinema but it's in french (I have to watch a movie in its original language if not I won't fully enjoy it), there are mosqitos everywhere, the movies are out of date (last movie was the Legend of Bagger Vance, or something like that...) and it's only on Tuesadys and Thursdays. Anyways be glad you have cinemas because I don't and it sucks.
Darth Sceltor
I only have a Wehrenberg (sp) and something else that I can't remember and never go to. I choose my movie theater by which is showing the movie I want to see.
Guest Zoom Rabbit
Oh, screw that movie job! Videocassettes have replaced the movie screen for most Americans, and DVD means the indoor theaters are going the way of the drive-in sooner or later. Come get a job at Applebee's. I'll train you. Here, take this spatula and flip some burgers...

Cmdr. Cracken
Oh, BTW gunner. Concession stand and Box office employees are getting hit hard with payroll cuts. Ushers aren't that effected because there anrent that many of them. we have like 5 or 6 on at a time. concession we have 8-9, and box office people are paid more. THAT'S why there aren't as many concessionists and box office employiees. Now, if you went BEFORE JUNE, I'd probably say that theater is one of our worse ones, but if it's like in July, when the payroll cuts started, then that's why. Admiral Odin
Lets see, Uptowm Theater Movies cost 3 bucks, (have to wait a little while, after they show at Hotes(maybe), but 3 bucks is worth it. ------------------ "Dulce bellum inexpertis."
