Kasan Moor Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I try to build a simple map but when i add spawn point and position marker and try to change the faction owner it just says "[MISSING]" . Whats wrong?
Lord hobo Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 just ignore it, there are the other factions there such as empire, rebs and black sun, start to type in empire then click on the drop down arrow it should be there then
Darth_Torpid-PG Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 It's possible that one or more of the factions are for the expansion and don't show up in the version of the editor you have. In any case, markers should always be set to neutral faction.
Duncan_10158 Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 the problem with the [MISSING] option of the Fatcion Owner dropdown is caused by the language version of your EaW. if you are using any other language version then english, then you get this problem with the map editor. but its easy to fix take a look into your Star Wars Empire at War\GameData\Data\Text folder, there should be the file: MasterTextFile_(your language version).DAT make a copy and rename it to: MasterTextFile_ENGLISH.DAT you should have the file twice then, your original and a renamed copy. dont just rename the original file, or your EaW wont start anymore. simple, isnt it?
Duncan_10158 Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 cant open that text file open? you dont need to open any file. just find it, make a copy and rename the copy.
