baka-chan
Hi. ^_^ I'm starting to learn editing. I have a question here. Using the kotor tool, I edited the item..let's say a_belt_01.uti. Then at the property name, I selected activate item. There were force powers there. However, when I tried adding it onto the equipment and load it into the game, it doesn't provide the force power (e.g. Shock). Any help here would be greatly appreciated. EnderWiggin
Welcome to the Forums! Because a belt isn't a grenade, or a weapon for that matter, it can't activate shock. When would it? Not when equipped, because then it wouldn't do anything. It would have nothing to attack. _EW_
baka-chan
So..if i apply it on a weapon it would work? That's because adding a feat on a belt works. EDIT: I tried it on a weapon and still no active force powers..
EnderWiggin
Hmm.. I never really did this. Try adding it to a grenade. See what happens. _EW_

Darth333
This can't be done without adding a line to spells.2da and some scripting. You also need an item that you can activate such as a grenade or an armband to fire the script. These tutorials could be useful: Spells.2da editing: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=130898 How to script a force power: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=137498 You can look at k_inc_force.nss to get the code for the shock force power. baka-chan
Oh i see. Hmm the scripting tools require .net right? May I know how big is the file?
tk102
I assume you're referring to jmac7142's script generator which requires .NET 1.1 -- however you say you've already edited the .uti with KotOR Tool which also requires .NET 1.1 so that's not an issue. The script generator program is only about 135kb, but note that you don't need any special scripting tools other than the compiler.
