Activate Item Help

Hi. ^_^ I'm starting to learn editing.

 

I have a question here. Using the kotor tool, I edited the item..let's say a_belt_01.uti.

Then at the property name, I selected activate item. There were force powers there. However, when I tried adding it onto the equipment and load it into the game, it doesn't provide the force power (e.g. Shock).

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

This can't be done without adding a line to spells.2da and some scripting. You also need an item that you can activate such as a grenade or an armband to fire the script.

You can look at k_inc_force.nss to get the code for the shock force power.

I assume you're referring to jmac7142's script generator which requires .NET 1.1 -- however you say you've already edited the .uti with KotOR Tool which also requires .NET 1.1 so that's not an issue. The script generator program is only about 135kb, but note that you don't need any special scripting tools other than the compiler.
