Jem Posted October 17, 2001 Posted October 17, 2001 But Commander Cracken Sir, Wouldn't it be wiser and swifter to transfer shield energy to guns so we can blast them on sight thus getting rid of them almost instantly ? Get those plasma turrets ready for fire!
Nitro Posted October 17, 2001 Posted October 17, 2001 *Lights up the VBBQ agin* Wow! 3 times in one week! We're eatin' good, boys! ------------------ Ryan "Nitro" Cole - The man who can fly anything with wings... And some things without... "If they could get a washing machine to fly, our Nitro could land it!"
Guest Zoom Rabbit Posted October 17, 2001 Posted October 17, 2001 Well, when I BBQ newbies, I just think of my shields as a secondary laser cannon capacitor and top off continously while firing. This also ensures maximum output for each volley, with perpetually charged banks. What I trade off in shield strength matters not, as I'm too fast for them to hit me anyway... Welcome, sir hyarmengrim, to the NUT FARM. ------------------ 'What's up is clearly defined as the opposite of what is down, in this case being the strongest source of local gravity...failing that, in space, what's up is opposite the direction of accelerative G-force--or, coincidentally, the same direction I happen to be targeting with these laser cannon. Die, b*tch!' --Official forum space freedom fighter
