Lord JayVizIon Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 i don't think so.........but i hope so.........
Guest Tie Guy Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 Yes, maybe when you beat it with the Wookies you get to play teh Trandoshans, that would be cool. You could fight the wookies to take over Kashyyk.
Lord JayVizIon Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 yeah, the wookies i believe have two campaigns in the game, one with the trandoshans and the other is basically training where you get to mess with chewie and his dad on learning the game controls........
Paragon_Leon Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 where did you people read that Trandoshan-part ? All i read in features was that they took back Kashyyyk. After ROTJ, that is. so that means they took it back from the Empire..
Guest ZeroXcape Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 I don't mind if GB never has trandoshans, I'll just wait for Galaxies
Paragon_Leon Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 ..commanding an army of Trandoshans into battle is a very different experience to playing just one in a world populated by others... there are two Trandoshan vehicles known and they do some background-searching for Galaxies, so i guess they could do it.
Lord JayVizIon Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 leon, i read that from pcgamer when they featured swbg. there are 6 campaigns total for this game.......
Paragon_Leon Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 yes, but it doesn't mention the Trandoshans if i recall, which is the meaning of this post.. I remember Kenner had a vehicle for Bossk that looked a bit like a pod with two grappling arms. called... ESP8 ? (don't quote me on that) then there's the vehicle Bossk uses in the books.. forgot it's name. those two vehicles would be two air-units already. but all infantry and building would have to be thought up from scratch..
Guest Kvan Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 The only vehicles that I know Bossk has is the Hounds Tooth (YV-666) and Nashtah Pup, but they are both ships not vehicles
Darth_Rommel Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 Kvan is right The trandoshans won't be easy to make
Guest Kvan Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 Originally posted by Darth_Rommel Kvan is right The trandoshans won't be easy to make Eh? I was just telling people the name of the ships....I wasn't trying to squash their idea's, although I do, do that a lot. So I can understand your confusion.
Darth_Rommel Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 Well, I was just thinking... they made the wookiee's without knowing any units and they look all right. So the trandoshans wouldn't be that much of a challenge. Besides in Wookiee campaign, the trandoshans are used as a nonplayable rac,e so they probably have some techs + units already
Compa_Mighty Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 I personally wouldn't like secret civs. All the civs should be able to play from the beginning. Not everybody has the ability or the time to beat the game.
Darth_Rommel Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 Well, I can't say I don't agree. I hated midtown madness 'cos to get cars you had to win races, and I just liked cruising around the cities

Compa_Mighty Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 Fortunately time and patience. Don't you have anything else to do Kvan?
Guest Kvan Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 Originally posted by Compa_Mighty Fortunately time and patience. Don't you have anything else to do Kvan? No, not really Why do you ask?

Not everybody has the ability or the time to beat the game. That's the point, you have to earn them. It's like a rewards program or something. Like in RS when you got enough medals you got a secret level, you don't have to get it, but it is fun.
Paragon_Leon Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 that's the coolest suggestion i've heard so far. they would make for some great graphics, and sounds are already in Jedi Knight.. Hero character could be Greedo, villagers could be like that Episode 1 Rodian kid... nice suggestion, Kobi. and if i didn't welcome you already here: be welcome.
Guest Kvan Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 Kobi thats a great idea! We know nothing about their ships though. But at least they're not allied with any civi (like the Mon Cals are)
Paragon_Leon Posted August 3, 2001 Posted August 3, 2001 I reckon that a whole lot of the units we'll see walking around as civilians will be the exact suggestions we talked about earlier. think about walking into Mos Eisley in a Tatooine campaign and see Rodians, Trandoshans, Quarrens... the thought of it makes me happy.
Guest Tie Guy Posted August 4, 2001 Posted August 4, 2001 Yes, but what story do the Rodians have? huh?
Kobi Duran Posted August 4, 2001 Author Posted August 4, 2001 Im not saying Rodians need a story. Remember Aoe II? Only 5 civs had a campaign out of the 13 available. Battlegrounds should have more civs for skirmish use only. They dont need a story line.
