HK's Wifey
It's my current hope/prediction. I don't have much premise for this thread aside from that, what do ya'll think? Each KOTOR game being based somewhere in the Republic's past, all kinda linked like the FF series. Bah.
milo
You want ten more Kotors?
HK's Wifey
Not necessarily, but if the KOTOR series continues to be this great, then a Star Wars universe RPG series. Again, not necessarily following one plot line, and ofcourse the gaming would evolve over time like the FF...who knows, bah.
Terra
Hey 10 more KotORs wouldn't be a bad thing, however the one problem with that is that Final Fantasy is more of a franchise than a series, they don't have anything to do with each other, and most of them are all in different worlds. Final Fantasy is sort of just a name that gives an extra meaning to the game, since people know that when they hear the name Final Fantasy, it is synonymous with a great storyline and cutting edge technology, as those traits have run through the series... Jackel
Would be interesting to play a series of RPG's set in the Star Wars universe that only connect via the name and their settings. After the KOTOR series has finished of course.
T.Nova
You never know really. If K3 is announced and released, depending on well the game fairs LA might want to take in KotOR as a franchise rather than a seris. A potential KotOR 4 could take place 50 years after the Jedi Civil War. Meaning you're not going to have too much of an issue with background. After all there really aren't any RPG's for the SW universe. Everyone thought MGS3 Snake Eater would be the final installment for the Metal Gear universe, then Konami reveals MGS4 at E3 2K5. Who knows? If theres a K3, and it turns out to be very successful then I see no reason why it should not continue after that. Even if takes place in settings not around the original trilogy. Point Man
Heck, if they stay good, I'll keep playing 'em.
Manny C
its a good idea i reckon, as long as they maintain their quality, thats all that matters
HK's Wifey
Indeed on the quality part.
Exar Kun
I definitely like the idea of KotOR continuing as a series of 10+ titles like the FF series. Some Square quality cinematics/cutscenes would be nice for the KotOR series too.
Mister Chief
No, the cutscenes should be done in engine IMO. Maybe just slightly polished. The Franchise thing is cool, but the games need to stay the same in terms of gameplay and technique. FF had a tendancey to have two games with nothing in common. Look at FF crystal chronicals, then FF10.
Henz
You know what I'd love? KOTOR III.
