Dagobahn Eagle
You need to quit judging the game by one video. It's just a PRE-RENDERED video! It's not even a game, just a tech demo. I kinda felt bad for that last stormtrooper, especially how he was begging for mercy after the third time he was pummelled into the floor.... Me too, actually. Monkey Mania
Confirmed Info: *Uses Euphoria and DMM technologies. *Takes place between Episodes 3 and 4. *A major story element will be the force "the force reimagined". *Will feature an astonishing revelation. *The video is pre-rendered(duh). BongoBob
Pfft, I didn't feel bad for him. I would have done what the jedi would have done if not for the TiE fighter...slam him into the ground a couple of times

Pfft, I didn't feel bad for him. I would have done what the jedi would have done if not for the TiE fighter...slam him into the ground a couple of times Just another new Star Wars contradiction. Weren't the Jedi supposed to be the good guys? Weren't they supposed to be above this kind of stuff - not to mention slowly killing your padawan by letting him burn to death instead of giving him a quick chop with the lightsabre? What's next, Winnie the Pooh on a SlimFast diet:p?
toms
Updated: *A major story element will be the force "the force reimagined". Anyone else hear alarm bell? Just me? Basically what they are saying is that they have this cool new tech and they are going to show it off to the max, with seriously overpowered force powers and physics... (so a lot like the cell factor demo to show of the PhysX card then..) This always happens with new tech.. they go overboard with it, then it takes a few games before they use it properly. *rememberes the coloured lighting in MotS* (PS/ anyone remember an old webcomic series about JK, which had darth vader with a bucket head???) Dagobahn Eagle
(PS/ anyone remember an old webcomic series about JK, which had darth vader with a bucket head???)The parody, right? The one where Vader uses the Force to pull Han Solo's blaster pistol out of his hand and accidentally pulls all of his and Leia's clothing off, too:D? And yes, they're going to over-use it if it is to simulate the Force. There are so many Jedi-junkies out there that it's inevitable.
Mike Windu
But... Jedi are so cool! Anyone else notice the stormies are pretty freakin stupid? Just sit there while the Jedi does assorted moves

toms
Ah.. finally found it. This was the one i was thinking of: http://www.jediknight.net/3do/download/dcmmots.gif They did kinda go overboard in MotS with the coloured lighting, just as they seem to have gone a bit power mad with the physics tech in that demo.. MarcusLeCoy
Eh. Didn't seem that amazing to me. Just some Jedi beating up some clones or stormtroopers (I don't remember). A bunch of Star Wars games have done that. I'm not saying the game will suck (I dunno if it will or not) but the video wasn't "all that".

toms
Interview about it here: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/721/721178p1.html though its not hugely informative. It occurs to me that this Digital Molecular Matter would ROCK with lightsabers. It would give you opportunities to do things like they do in the books and movies.. throw sabers to slice overhead arches so they fall on people etc.. It makes sense to use it for the force too, but its odd they haven't focused on the lightsaber posibilities. I think its kind of a shame they are going for the OTT force thing... cos adding the DMM to a more serious game would be a nice improvement, allowing you to use the environment against your opponents in more creative ways. Negative Sun
Yes but think of the casualties that woud provoke by people drowning in their own drool...look at this thread alone lol Kickass video btw, I'm not too bothered about whether it will be the next KotOR or JK or whatever, it looks amazing and I'll probably get it at some point, I always do when it comes to SW stuff, I at least want to try everything... RoxStar
That looks disturbingly violent... Wow... I hope it comes out for 360 and PC too! But thats really bothering me, Jedi don't behave like that! Kyle Katarn needs to shape them up.
