Bungo2000 Posted August 6, 2001 Posted August 6, 2001 I wont buy MI 4 because it's in 3D and I wont buy MI 5 if it is too. So there. LucasArts is digging it's own grave right now. They need go to go back to the roots that made them huge in the first place, stop trying to compete with the others with this 3D nonsense, it's subtracting from the quality. I'm sure alot of you people raving for 3D weren't there in the beginning, crying with the best of us when those fireworks went off standing next to Elaine after spraying LeChuck with a bottle of root beer. Those were the days.
Mighty MN Posted August 7, 2001 Posted August 7, 2001 I agree with all the opinoins about 3D.It is the best and by the way I don't want a mouse control, it makes the game easier but with keyboard we have to search all the room, and keyboard is better.

Personally I would LOVE to see another Monkey Island in 2D, but that is only a nostalgic wish. Most people are disappointed due to the fact that Monkey Island has CHANGED. The atmosphere and the characters were so well drawn and conceived, because they focused and had to focus on story events and character development. I think 3D works for adventure games, but not for Monkey Island. Lucasarts should quit making new Monkey Sequels and create another adventure that fits to 3D. I think Indiana Jones would look great in 3D as a classic adventure game(not action). If people feel like 2D was better I can only suggest to play again M1 and M2. You can never get bored of them. Just because some of you guys don't have a cool computer that supports cool 3D graphics doesn't mean that you have to encourage the making of a old fashioned 2D game! Of course it would go faster!
