Audio capture from SensoBot #993453457AFFRD and motion capture from GeoSync SatCom #176GE2 as follows: Subject #1: You got something for me? (turns toward Subject #2) Subject #2: You got something for...me? (places right leg on top of black bag) Subject #1: Yeah. (faces forward, reaches into coat, produces envelope) Subject #2: What, you going to make me wait? Like that's a real good idea... Subject #1: I care what's good for you. I really do. (reaches towards Subject #2 with envelope) (Subject #2 takes envelope with right hand, moves right leg away from bag. Subject #1 reaches down with left hand, takes bag. Subject #1 moves bag to lap, opens bag, looks inside then closes bag) Subject #1: This better be what your guy said it is. (Subject #1 looks forward) Subject #2: (turns and faces towards Subject #1, lays right arm across top of railing on fallen pillar) And if it's not? What are you going to do, exactly? Huh? Shoot me? (Subject #2 faces forward, folds arms across chest, crosses legs) Do you know what we had to do for those? A lot more than you're worth. A lot more than you've got, pal. Subject #1: Huh. (Subject #1 places bag inside coat) Subject #2: YEAH, huh. (Subject #2 uncrosses arms and legs, turns to face Subject #1) You think you and your army buddies are getting out of here? You think we're not going to settle up? You guys, what are you going to do, huh? We own the routes out! Only one way you can travel, and we own that! If my father...(Subject #2 hunches over forward, spreads knees, lays elbows on knees) Subject #1 (turns to face Subject #2) If your father what, exactly? You don't own anything here, brat. Look out there. (Subject #1 faces forwards, waves right arm in front of him) You see that? All that wreck? That was made during the Siege of Coruscant, when the droid armies captured the Emperor. The Jedi rescued him and brought a cruiser down right out there in front of us to do it. Ain't never been rebuilt. (Subject #1 turns to face Subject #2) All that? That's me, and you, and you father, and your brothers, and your whole family. Truth is, all of you will be on the next transport out after us, if you can last that long. My and my friends have been propping your family up for months now. There's no one left on this planet that can protect you when we're gone, make no mistake. The Empire's dead. That means all your daddy's connections are dead. So no, you won't be settling up with me, as you put it. Get used to the idea. (Subject #1 smiles) (Subject #2 stands up, pulls blaster pistol from inside coat, points it at Subject #1. Subject #1 stops smiling) Subject #2: We can settle up right now! What're you going to do, huh?! You said it yourself, there's no one for miles, no one's going to save you! What makes you think I won't blast your head off right now?! (Subject #2 walks closer to Subject #1) We hid you and Rhazhal and Vash for months, without us...(Subject #1 extends right arm, grabs the blaster pistol from Subject #2, then twists Subject #2's arm behind back and forces him face-down on the ground. These actions take .014 seconds) Subject #2: (cries of pain, incoherent shouts) Subject #1: Just when I though you couldn't get stupider. You really want your father and brothers to find you with a gun lodged in your rectum? Won't be very dignified. (Subject #1 throws the blaster pistol southeast, down into air conduit) I hope that was your favourite gun, idiot. (Subject #1 lifts Subject #2 off the ground, throws him 4 meters northwest. Subject #2 shakes, stands up and faces Subject #1) *continuous transmission detected from Subject #2. Confirmed Imperial Special Forces code, encrypted to 30th dodecahedronal algorhythm. Unable to access message content, consistent with SatCom tracking signal* Subject #1: Didn't it ever occur to you that maybe your father and I have business arrangements that he didn't inform you about? That maybe there was a good reason he showed me and my friends the respect he did? The first day you met me, you were told not to insult me, brat. You should've listened. Subject #2 Screw you and your friends. There's a lot more like you out there, and my father and brothers know them all. I don't care what my father says, you'll pay for this. It doesn't matter what you've got on him, he's still my father, and I can swing him. He won't ditch family for you. (Subject #1 tilts head 20 degrees to right) Subject #1: You might just be right about that. Subject #2: Of course I'm right about that! And if anything happens to me, one of our family will be left to hand you right over to the New Senate Security! See if they don't! (Subject #2 turns 180 degrees and walks out of visual range of SensoBot #993453457AFFRD. Confirmed by SatCom #176GE2 as entering small atmospheric flyer. Jae Onasi
"Improper disposal of remains--79 counts"--loved the over-the-top number. Consider shortening down the first 3 paragraphs of 'data streams'--I found it a little challenging to track visually (the long strings of numbers in particular), and you may not need that much to set up the situation. A Star Wars mafia-style story should be intriguing.
igyman
Hey, Mace, what's happening with this fic, I hope you didn't give up on it, because it sounds really interesting. Or was this a short fic?
Mace MacLeod
Was just a shortie. Actually adapted from a quickie idea from my short story-writing class in college. Trying to get my writing juices flowing to finally get cracking on Darkkender's monster mod dialogue trees. And I only ever post finished product here. Or anywhere else, for that matter.
