Broken quest

It's Mission's personal quest, the one where you're supposed to find her brother. Well, for this quest I'm now supposed to go to the Shadowlands on Kashyyk and retrieve a tach gland. The problem is that I already completed the Tach Poaching quest. There are only a few tachs left, but the game won't even let me attack them. How...irritating.

There's actually some tach glands in a container in the Czerka encapment. Have you tried that?

A good idea, but I raided the containers too at the time I did the tach poaching quest. Are there any merchants that sell them? There must be some other way to get one.

You'll have to go back to where ever you sold them. If you looted the containers, you have them in your inventory or you sold them.

Well the problem is that the tach glands I sold were to one of the Czerka guys (as part of the quest) in the Upper Shadowlands, who was subsequently chased off by that huge monster when I disabled the sonic emitters for Jolee.

Sorry the only way to fix that is to load a save game previous to Kashyykk, if there aren't any, you'll have to start a new game, if you really want to finish it....

Or use the cheats or KSE to add a tach gland to your inventory.

Well, I just assume people use X-Box... that was the first system I had KotOR for... so I just assume that.

Well, in the event you are playing the xbox version, did you do the Genoharadan mission? You get the opportunity to kill more tachs in that mission.

But Darth333 you don't get tach glands for killing them... at least not on the X-Box... I never did, so I switched to PC and so I could mod...

Ok, got it. It's a cool program, and pretty straightforward I think. The only problem is, I see every inventory item in the list except the tach gland. I read somewhere that there actually is no item code for it. Is this true? If so, I'm pretty sure there's nothing more I can do but load an old save. That would take me WAYYYYY back though. I would have to play through Manaan, and the Leviathan all over again.
