It seems that Maul had just made a new enemy. And if that were the case, he knew that Sion still lived. He could feel him…

Maul decided to instead hunt for his new arch nemesis, to prove his worthiness of getting the revenge on Kenobi he longed desired. For Sion was both Strong and Powerful in the force. Both Physically and mentally, this is a challenge which has been set fourth for Maul.

But who was Darth Sion? Another Sith Apprentice of Sidious, following the Sith traditions of slaying the master for the title of Dark Lord of the Sith? Or perhaps Sidious wasn’t the only Sith master in the galaxy. One way or another, Maul pledged himself to kill Sion for destroying the one chance of slaying his former master.

Maul stood on a floating Dock Platform, one which is set near the Imperial Palace. The Platform was basically a large landing pad, floating in the skies of Coruscant. It was used for speeders or ship to make a landing for repairing or charging. But what was on this Platform was rather interesting to Maul’s attention. There it lay the body of a dead Rodian, who had obviously been thrown out of a speeder. In Maul’s predictions, it was highly probable this was the doing of Sion.

A crowd encircled around the body, and two Imperial Forensic Investigators were examining the body, collecting evidence that it provided. One of the admiring public, a young child with his mother, stared at Maul’s frightening face. Maul glared back at the boy, which seemed to scare him a little. He focussed his attention back on the dead Rodian.

“There appears to be no sign of any bruising that this Rodian was pushed out of a speeder or some kind of vehicle,” one of the Investigators began. “It may be a suicide!”

“Check for I.D. We may be able to find the vehicle he was registered to.” The other Investigator suggested, pulling out from his bag of supplies a I.D Scanner Pad. He then pressed it against the Rodian’s hand, and the little device made a whiring sound.

A few seconds later, the scanner was done making its DNA analysis.

“His name is Jyyor Moon. Bartender of the Outlanders Club and he is registered to a Class Q4-991 Speeder.” The Investigator announced.

“Alright, Kyle. Lets hook it up to a Tracker, then we might be able to find the Vehicle.”

Kyle pulled out from his bag a small, portable device and plugged it to the Scanner. The screen presented a GPS signal of the Vehicles location. Kyle looked shocked as he stared at the scanner.

“The Vehicle is still moving! I think it might be a Grand Theft Auto!” Kyle announced.

“Lets send Two Units. They’ll take care of this scum!” the Investigator announced. He then pulled out a small Comlink. But before he could speak, Maul drew his Lightsaber across the man’s arms. He howled in pain, as his arm holding the Comlink fell to the floor. Kyle pulled out a blaster, but Maul sliced his double bladed Lightsaber across the man’s face. One half of his head slid off diagonally and fell to the ground.

The crowd screamed in terror. Maul picked up the Scanner with the Tracker, and walked out of the Crime Scene. He now knew where Sion was heading…

Sorry 'bout the wait guys. I just needed a break from this. You know, plan ahead for the up-comming plots of this story.

Chapter Nine

Sion drove the Speeder across the concrete jungle of Coruscant. The darkness of the night, beginning to consume the entire sky above. The entire city was lit with the bright lights made by the cantinas, casinos and even office buildings. The zooming Speeders contributed to the lit city, as well as the many advertisements and billboards floating in the heavy sky.

If he was to defeat Maul, Sion needed to become even more powerful than he was. Despite his rather unique ability of using his pain to become immortal, it clearly wasn’t enough to combat against the mighty power of his rival Sith Lord.

His plan for domination of the galaxy had obviously ended in failure. Even though Sion originally never wanted to rule the galaxy but rather eliminate the entire Jedi Order, he needed to be granted the power to destroy it completely. He caught up with the past history of the galaxy during his absence, and had learned of the Jedi Purge made by the Execute Order 66, the command made by the Emperor Palpatine. In truth, Sion knew that the extinction of the Jedi was not yet complete. It merely survived into an endangered state, meaning that there had to be more survivors out there.

Driven by his cold and ruthless instincts, Sion decided to finish Palpatine’s un-finished business. But first things first, he must learn a new power to combat both Maul and the Jedi. He remembered back at when he was duelling the Jedi Exile on Malachor, and how overpowering she was to slain Sion. Not because of her rather formidable Lightsaber skills and command of the Force, but her sensational power of her own will to intimidate Sion his invincibility fed by his own pain was weakening. And because of this, her teachings would have likely altered the ways of the Jedi, to make them even more powerful.

The view of a Space Port was just ahead of Sion, he pressed the accelerator down to speed up the pace. The Space Port was a massive, expanded Skyscraper. Gaping mouths of hangar bay doors surrounded the faces of the massive structure. Ships, shuttles and even speeders flew from the building, ongoing transportation.

Surrounding the Space Port were massive Search Lights, to help navigate incoming ships at night. The bright beams projected up in the air, taking a solid form as they shone in the heavy dark clouds of the night.

As the Space Port was edging nearer and nearer, a sudden impact hit the Speeder Sion was flying. He looked back, and saw a huge, heavily armoured Fighter which belonged to the Imperial Authorities. Were they sent by Palpatine? Sion didn’t sense the presence of Imperials in that fighter. He searched deeper into his senses to reveal the identity of his offender. It was Maul.

Sion swerved to avoid the next attack done by Maul. Maul missed by a fare few inches. Now the two vehicles lined up next to each other, Sion moving sideways to crash into Maul in order to make his vehicle damaged…

It seemed that the war between Sion and Maul hadn’t finished yet. Havoc was raining during the Speeder chase, and the cause of destruction was no question. Maul could see ahead in the darkness of the night, lights outlining the structure of a Space Port. After what he has been through, there was no way he could just let Sion escape that easily.

Maul slightly swerved away from Sion, then rushed the Fighter sideways to try and knock the speeder off from course. Not that it made much of a huge difference of coarse.

Hoards of Speeders came buzzing past the two traffic offenders. Maul stared at his control panel. The vehicle he was driving was incredibly armed, so he flick a switch and the next thing he saw on either sides of his wings were little drone turrets. He grasped his hand on the control stick, taking a good aim of his laser guns at the Speeder ahead. He pulled the trigger, and rapid bursts of laser fire shot out of the guns. The streams Maul had fired barely missed Sion by inches, and instead hit on-coming Speeders. Blasts and huge explosions were made through out the canyons of the city, and the remains of burning heaps of metal fell from the sky and hit the never-ending ground below.

Sion had tried to dodge the fire of his attacker, but out of luck from Maul, one of the blaster bolts managed to hit the Speeder. It wasn’t enough to fatally damage the vehicle, however it did manage to hit the bonnet of the Speeder. Thick black smoke crept from the engine inside, and it blinded the view for Sion.

Maul narrowed his eyes on the Speeder. It was damaged for sure, as he hit part of its engine.

“It’s time to finish you off!” Maul muttered under his breath, as he activated the Missiles. He fired one, a small rocket burst from the wings of the Fighter, but it missed and instead hit a vehicle ahead. A huge explosion was made, and Maul noted that these missiles were enough to vaporise Sion. Maul drove the Fighter right through the fire of the destroyed Speeder.

Instantly, Missiles and Laser Fire burst out of the Fighter’s cannons. The nice combination would have insured the death of his nemesis. Yet, they all missed, and instead hit other vehicles and buildings. Total destruction was all around for the citizens of Coruscant to experience and witness. And suffer from the consequences of the havoc.

They had finally arrived at the Space Port, and the two vehicles were rather close in front of the huge structure. Sion had an idea which he could use against Maul. It was risky but it might have to be the only option, and one where he had to use his powers.

Making a u-turn, Sion drove his Speeder directly towards the Fighter. Maul smirked at this courageous and yet foolish act.

“So it’s a game you want to play, Sion?”

Maul accelerated the Fighter towards the on-coming Speeder Sion was driving. Maul edged his finger on the trigger, and fired one missile. The little rocket shot directly towards the Speeder, which Sion had predicted. Focusing on the movement of the Missile, Sion used Force Push against the rocket, which made it ricochet and plotted a new Target. The Missile fired directly at Maul.

Maul’s eyes widened with disbelief. He immediately pressed the emergency eject system, and the small cockpit shot out of the body of the Fighter. The cockpit doubled as an escape pod, which seemed quite handy and efficient, Maul thought to himself. Down below, he saw what remained of the fighter being destroyed by the missile. A huge explosion erupted, which damaged the peace of the flying traffic.

Sion sensed Maul’s survival, but at least it ridded the pest temporarily. His Speeder suffered from damaged, which was the main cause of why his controls were deactivated. He stood up in the cockpit, and jumped out of the falling Speeder. The fall seemed to take forever, until he made a landing on a top of a huge ship. The smack of his body was like hitting concrete, but the pain soothed Sion’s nerves, and it offered him the pleasure of increased power. He stood up atop of the moving ship, and ahead of him he could see an opening of a small hatch. He walked towards it, and climbed down the ladder once he was inside…
