Jesus H Keee-rist...

Okay. Managed to get by Dallas. How freakin' close can you cut it...?

Positives:

--Canucks won.

--Luongo healthy.

--PP not as completely dead as Monty Python parrot.

--Sedins woke up from their slumber, Pyatt playing like the big guy he is.

Negatives:

--Anaheim up next.

--Cooke still hurt.

--Naslund, Morrison, Smolinski not just cold but frozen in bloody carbonite.

--Team still loves to take idiotic penalties.

--Team looks completely disorganized in their own zone and on the breakout.

--Coach clearly flying by seat of pants; defence looks like Chinese fire drill.

--Still have NHL referees refereeing NHL games.

Man, what do you do if you're Marty Turco? Three shutouts in one series, absolutely (I will grant him this) brilliant 99% of gametime, and he still can't win. If I were him, I'd be close to doing a Virginia Tech in the Dallas dressing room.

GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*emerges out from under pile of empty beer bottles*

Well, the Canucks are golfers yet again, and yet again another year of cheering for the team I hate least in the Stanley Cup finals is upon me. It wouldn't be so annoying if the Canucks hadn't been in the last four games of the series against Anaheim. Those were all winnable games, but they just couldn't find the net. Their best grinders and irritants got hurt (Burrows did a man's job filling in for Cooke, though), some mystery bug turned the Sedins back into the Sedin sisters of old, Naslund and Morrison were virtual no-shows for vast stretches of the series, Vingeault's coaching just went to hell...about the only good thing was Luongo. Sure, he screwed up at the end and let in the winning goal, but without him the Canucks would've gone down in 5 to Dallas and besides, the team in front of him could only muster one single goal over more than four periods. I mean, what the hell were these guys on...? Even Bieksa and Mitchell looked like they were stoned half the time. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH. Dammit.

*sigh*

Go Senators.

Sens seem to be Canada's best hope right now...

Yes, indeed. I'm rooting for them. Though, they probably will be facing Buffalo. So, it should be an entertaining series.

In the west, I hope San Jose can comeback against Detroit. Then, maybe beat Anaheim. But, that's going to be pretty tough for 'em to do.

Ay, Go Sens I suppose. It seems like everyone in the country looks at the Ottawa Senators for the cup. Of course, they'll just choke like every other year...

They're going to face Buffalo in the Eastern Finals. Buffalo didn't do that well against the Rangers but still, it's Buffalo and they're not to be trifled with. I hate to put all my hope into such a crappy basket...

I like their chances. :D It's the third straight year that a Canadian team has reached the Stanley Cup final. As the saying goes, "third time's the charm". Their first line is hot. As well, Ray Emery is playing well. So, I think they can do it.

Personally, I don't want Pronger and the Ducks to win it or the Red Wings.

Sooooooo...we got our 2007 Stanley Cup finalists.

Anaheim Ducks vs Ottawa Senators. Go Ottawa. Have rediscovered how much I hate the ducks when I caught myself cheering for the *shudder* Red Wings tonight. And nobody post that the Sens will lose because Alfredsson touched the Wales trophy and Neidermeyer didn't touch the Campbell trophy. There were people saying they'd lose right there just because of that. Bah.
