OK, I'm thinking of organising an online competition involving the forum members here, and possibly later we can have games against other forums. Anyway, would anyone be interested in this? I was thinking CS and TFC, and perhaps even TetriNet (!!!) if there aren't enough takers. The results will be sent out in the all new forum newsletter (coming soon!).

We will also need a server machine, preferably someone with cable/ADSL. Please contact me (the_feral_chicken@hotmail.com)

Finally are times. I think 10am EST/3pm GMT, Saturday is about right.

Present your info like this:

Game name - Feral Chicken

Favourite online game - Counter-Strike

Time zone - GMT

Ideal time - 3pm GMT/10am EST

Connection speed - 56K (shared)

This sounds like fun Feral, didn't you try to start something like this earlier? Anyways, I haven't played either CS or TFC for a very long time, but I'd be willing to give it a shot. If this little plan of yours doesn't work, you might want to try the MIQC, I think Mort-Hog is running it now...but I'm not sure. There you'd be able to play FPS with people who like MI. Maybe once Plunder3D is finished, they'll play that nonstop. (Mmmm....Plunder3D...)

Anyways, here's my info.

Game name - Sacrificial Lamb

Favorite online game - CS

Time Zone - Pacific

Ideal Time - Heh, definitely not at 3pm GMT, that's for sure. But I'm willing to do it at any time, as long as it isn't very early for me.

Storken!!! See, I didn't leave the forums altogether, I just counted very slowly to 10 and waited for my dislike of the forums to blow away. It works in almost every situation. Try it.

Game name - Thrik

Favourite online game - Tribes 2

Time zone - uh...

Ideal time - Friday/Sat only; any time on the clock.

Connection speed - 56K (soon to be 64k, so it could be different depending on the time we do it.

I'm open to TFC or DoD too, though I suck at TFC now cos I ain't played it for like, 2 months.

Oh, blast, I forgot my connection speed. Well, I run with a healthy DSL, so I guess it doesn't really matter. Anyways, DoD is a mighty fine game too, except it gets kind of boring at times, there can be an awful lot of TKing, and for some reason, clan matches just aren't that great with DoD, but some maps are really awesome.

Feel free to add Thrik to your tribes2 list, just I am never scheduled during schooldays (as I said; Fri/Sat) but I always pop on tribes everyday, but it's fairly random.

Now for my conclusion....

frown.gif I know, it sucks...

I don't have a job yet and my dad won't pay for any high speed services. Doesn't bother me though, I download plenty and it doesn't hinder me in games, what I lack in ping rates I make up for in ass-kicking skill wink.gif
