[RP] The Adventures of Shindalar

Recommended Posts

Audrey ran after Torsh. When she finally caught up with him, she grabbed his hands, trying to calm him down. "It's okay, Torsh! It's all right. She's my grandmother."

The spirit of Tyla appeared before them. "Torsh... meet my Grandma, Tyla. Grandma... meet Torsh." Tyla smiled down at the young man. "Torsh. I'm glad to meet you. I am sorry that I frightened you so."

Gage sat quietly in the chair. Then he heard whispering coming from the other room. He's eyes were closed, he was pretending to be sleeping.

"Are you sure that man is asleep" he heard a male voice say.

"Yes, I'm positive" said another male voice.

"Then lets get the girl and go before he awakes" said the first male.

Gage sat up with out making a sound. He grabed his bow and an arrow and readied it to fire. Quickly he opened the door and let the arrow fly. He hit one of the men. The other started to charge Gage. He threw down his arrow and pulled out his sword. Blocking the mans attack. The man took a big downwards swing, Gage jumped out of the way and the mans sword got stuck in a table.

Gage ran his sword threw the mans torso. He sheathed his sword, and ran to Faye's daughter. He picked her up and left the hospital running.

Gage stopped he was breathing heavily.

"It seems that this little girl is his popular. But I don't believe for good reasons. Don't be seen talking to me." he quickly said.

Gage got close to Audrey's ear and whispered.

"I wont be far, just in the shadows of the alley way over there."

He ran off and hid in the shadows.

Audrey became so concerned for the little girl. She wished that there was something she could do to help. As Queen... she would help her people from Darkness, and that's what she was about to do.

She walked over back to Torsh and Tyla, and glanced at the ground. "If we don't get to the palace soon... the Dark Forces will grip Shindalar. And we'll all be doomed," Tyla said to both of them.

Tyla looked at Torsh, blankly. "I wanted to talk to you about how you should be when you become King." She glanced at Audrey. Audrey tilted her head as if saying 'tell him'.

The old spirit said, "When you become King, Torsh, you must think about your people. It's all right to think about Audrey... but if you don't think about others, their spirits will be torn, and they'll live helplessely."

Then she added, "And the spirit thing... I'm a ghost! I just... appear and disappear." She smiled. Audrey held Torsh's hand tenderly.

Torsh gulped. Was this a dream. It couldn't be. It felt real enough.

"What will I do as king? That's a bit naive and your expecting far too much of me. How do you know I'll be king? We might not make it, I know I've always said we will but to face the truth how many times have I almost died? I must have a ten million shipund bounty on my head!"

Duck he heard Elkor say.

Gage quickly ducked as a sword came crashing in to the building. He ran out of the alley way. He couldn't run towards the others, that put them in unneeded danger. He gritted his teeth and started to run away from them. He heard the man follow him, his foot steps heavy.

The weight of Faye's daughter was slowing him down. Gage looked around frantically for a place to put the girl down. As he looked around he heard the footsteps loud and heavy, coming closer. As they came closer he could almost hear the man laugh slightly.

Ferc was followed into a shortcut that he decided to go down instead of following the others. He was lost. He turned 'round & there was his crazy "uncle".

"Uncle, what're you doing here...with that dagger?" He asked.

"I'm not your uncle, for starters. You are royalty and must therefore die." replied this man.

Ferc started to draw out his sword. However, this man broke it by stepping on it. Ferc started to take out his bow when he saw that it was split in half.

"You thought I would allow you to defend yourself?" Laughed his attacker.

His attacker stuck his dagger in Ferc's stomach. He then drew his sword & smote off Ferc's head. To make a neat job, his attacker slaughtered the remainder of Ferc's body. Ferc had died.

((Hey, Balatro? Is it all right if Ferc and Tyla met in "The Spirit World"?))

Audrey felt a painful sting in her head. She yelled, and dropped towards the ground. Tyla knelt beside her. "What is wrong, Audrey?"

"Someone... a blood relative... has died!" Then she realized who the person was. "Ferc!!!" Audrey ran to find Ferc, following his presence... but only to see him dead. "No!! Ferc!!" She knelt down beside his body, and cried. Suddenly, she saw his attacker. "What have you done?!" The attacker laughed.

But before he could strike her down, a strong force pushed the man into a tree, unconscious. It was her Grandmother. "Do not cry, my child. His body may be dead, but his soul moves onward... like mine." She placed a gentle hand on Audrey's shoulder. "Go find Gage. He's in great danger."

Audrey looked at Ferc's body still, and nodded. She then got up, and ran to find Gage. When she saw him with the little girl, a man was chasing them down. "Get away from them, scum!" Audrey yelled, pulling her sword out and holding the whip on her hip.

Gage heard a female yell. A smile ran across his face, he knew that voice it was Audrey. But he couldn't let the man go after her. He swore to protect them both and he would not fail. He quickly grabbed his sword in one hand while holding Faye's daughter in his other arm. He held on to the blade and threw it through the air.

It struck the man in the leg, and he fell to the ground.

"My lady, please return to the lord. I am fine, please worry about yourself" he yelled out towards Audrey.

"No! I must worry about my people first!" With her trusty whip, she swung the cord towards the fallen man, wrapped it around his waist, and sent the man flying into a tree, hard. She turned to Gage and placed her hand on the little girl's forehead.

Audrey concentrated on her. "Torsh is fine. But I'm more concerned for this little girl's life right now." She wished there was someway to heal her.

Gage sighed heavily, he didn't know why people kept being sent after her. He would have been able to talk to the man he injured but he was now knocked out after being sent flying into a tree.

"She isn't going to die my lady. But what concerns me is why so many people are after her? What makes her special? I might have to consider keeping my distance from the group."

He looked up at Elkor flying over head, keeping a watch out for anything.

As Audrey's hand was placed on his face it burned. It was like he had been transported to a different world. All colors were swirling around him and everything went silent. He was on the floor and he was staring across a well decorated room.

"Happy Birthday Torsh, Your Twenty, I'll say your offically an adult!" Torsh looked forward and saw his mother kissing him on his cheeck and and another woman too. It was weird he was looking at himself though no-one could see him. He then thought. Twenty? He nevered remembered anything about being twenty... it was..... a missing year of his life! Across the room he saw a cradle with a baby starting to squeal in it.

"I think Faye needs feeding" the other woman said.

"I'll do it Honey" the younger Torsh said. Torsh screamed so loudly.

"I can't be! I can't be!" The world disappeared and he looked up into Audrey's face.

"The missing year" he gasped.

Gage shifted Faye's daughter in his arms and looked at Torsh with concern in his eyes. He was starting to become tired and Faye's daughter was starting to become heavy, he needed a place to rest, but he couldn't leave Torsh and Audrey alone, so he stood his ground.

"Sire" with noticeable concern in his voice "what missing year are you talking about?" Gage asked.

Ferc awoke in the great beyond. He saw a figure approaching him.

"Uncle?" He asked.

"Yes. I was killed a few weeks after your journey. Your journey has only begun?" His uncle said.

"I knew I had to lay my life down for Audrey. Am I dead?" He replied.

"You are what you choose to be. To be blunt, your intended sacrifice is what makes you living." His uncle replied.

"So, in theory, I could go back & help them?" He asked.

Ferc's uncle thought about it for a time.

"Yes. In the flesh; Not in spirit form, though. You will be in your full body, uninjured, when you awake. You must complete your journey." His uncle finally said.

Ferc woke upon the ground after everyone had left. He felt life & renewed strength in his body. He whistled. His horse, Artemisia, came galloping to him. "Come, we must to the castle in haste." He instructed. Ferc was ready to complete his journey.

The bones seemed to go ice cold throug him and with pain he answered Gage.

"The year I never remembered." It was like a knife had struck him and he fell back into a past world full of danger. It was a misty night and his younger self, his wife and Faye in her arms were running out of the house which was on fire.

"Kill the new king, kill the new king!" was the voices he heard. Then an arrow struck his wife and she tumbled Faye rolling out of her hands and into shadows unseen. His younger self looked around for Faye but couldn't find her. An arrow struck his arm and he escaped int oa nearby forest. He heard a crack and he was looking up into the real time again.

"It hurts!"

"My lady, take the girl." Gage said to Audrey as he shifted Faye's daughter towards her. He knelt down in front of the Torsh and placed his hands on Torsh's shoulders.

"Hurry sire, you must stand. The streets are not safe."

Gage looked towards Audrey.

"We need to get him into the Inn. In a hurry."

Gage looked at Torsh with urgency in his voice he said.

"Sire, you cannot change the events of the past. If you dwell on them for to long they will destroy you. Now please listen to me."

He took a deep breath and continued.

"You must remain here in the present. Remember what your trying to accomplish, what your trying to do for the kingdom. My lady would never leave you for something like this. If anything believe in her love for you. That will always remain."
