Aeroldoth
I'm trying to put a custom robe both on Nemo and his corpse. However, regardless of whether I put it in his inventory or equip it, he still wears his cream robes. I'd like him to wear some green robes I have, but I can't figure out how. Little help? RedHawke
Did you change his entry in appearance.2da? Because some NPC's don't have the settings like the PC does to be able to visually 'wear' items in the game. Look at Nemo's appearance number in his .utc file and look at that line in appearance.2da. To help you make some sense of the app.2da file some of the fields in appearance.2da are explained here. K1 and K2's appearance.2da files are quite similar. Darth Xander
Just change the spaces that say N_JediCounM to N_CommM but that means that Nemo will no longer be wearing his cream robes and will wear normal clothing.
Aeroldoth
Thanks Xander, but I'd like him to wear custom green robes from a mod I have, not regular clothing. Since there are no green robes in the game, I'm guessing there's no pre-established code I could enter for him. Is there perhaps a code to make someone nude, and that way the gear in his inventory would display? Also, if there is some code to alter him, wouldn't this be a global change for anybody using Jedi_White_Old_Male? I don't want every old man in the galaxy to sport green jedi robes. Darth Xander
What is the texture name of your green robe you want him to wear?
Aeroldoth
I don't know... how do I find out? I'm using DarthDingDong's Jedi War Robes. http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Jedi_War_Robes;83272 What would the texture file's name look like? Marius Fett
The texture for the green robe is called PMBI08 for males and PFBI08 for females....
Aeroldoth
Well, I just spent a frustrating hour trying to make it work. I tried putting it in all sorts of columns. I tried the I columns, since it's an I file, but that didn't work. I tried replacing the first three names as Xander did above, and that didn't work. I tied some leprechauns to explosives and ordered them to do something, and that didn't work. Either his robes are cream, or he's invisible. Dragoon ZER0
Enter 'PMBIM' in the 'modeli' column and 'PMBI' in the 'texi' column. The robe should work after that, as long as he has it equipped in his .uti. No other 'Jedi_White_Old_Male' characters would show that particular robe, but their robes would show if they had any 'standard' robes equipped. Aeroldoth
AAAARRRRGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!! AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!! I figured out what the $#^%$# problem was. I looked through ALL the Dantooine area files to be CERTAIN that I wasn't somehow editing the wrong Nemo file. I Searched the database for "Nemo" to make sure I had the right file. I tried all kinds of different combinations with appearance.2da. I read all kinds of tutorials and looked at other mods to try to figure out what I was doing wrong. NOTHING worked. And then I thought of something I just learned while helping Oddball get Juhani to wear her Prequel robes. Jedi robes require the Jedi Defense feat. Nemo didn't have Jedi Defense. I gave him the feat. He now wears the robes. It's a good thing Nemo dies later, 'cause otherwise I'D KILL HIM MYSELF!!! *big sigh* Thank you very much to everyone who helped me. I appreciate your assistance, including the helpful image from Xander. And thanks Dragoon ZERO for assuring me that other NPCs won't be wearing the robes. I am now going take a break and possibly devise a new 101 ways to kill Nemo mod. You'll get light side points.
