New to modding

I want to get to the point that I can make new PC heads, items, armor, etc. I have a little 3D experience with modeling in Blender. Beyond that, I know nothing about how modding in KOTOR works. I have read tutorials, but they seem to assume that you know something about the work flow. Can someone explain it to me?

How do I access the models?

How do I change them / create new ones?

How do I save and apply them?

What do I need to do each step?

Can I use Blender, or do I have to use Gmax?

 

Help would be much appreciated. I cannot wait to start modding away. :smash:

First off, welcome to the forums :)

 

Second, yes you do need Gmax as it can be used with NWMax. You could also use 3DSMax though that would cost £££.

 

Thirdly, as Reuben said, slow down! Certain members here may make modding KotOR look easy but it's really not.....
