Congress is debating the idea of changing the definition of the word "war" to include radical groups as well as nations, so as to legally declare "WAR". But as it stands, it's still just a "police action". The president, despite his inflamitory language, cannot declare war without an act of congress. What's the difference? ...nothing. Remember that Korea and Viet Nam were not "Wars" in the legal sense. They were police actions. But that euphamism means nothing when the shells start flying. Our country is so worked up, "War" WILL, no doubt, be declared, just to appease the loudest of our population. But as of yet (unless I've missed something) "war is not been declared. NiKo is right, in that this type of military action will only promote more terrosism. I am saddened. Even if we take out Osama bin Laden, we will not stop terrorism. But UKThreepwood has just said (typed) the most stupid comment I've probably seen. Just coz they were dancing in the street doesn't proove they did it. What it does proove is how heartless and what selfish jerks they are. If I was to start dancing in the street after the WTC and pentagon was attacked, does that mean I'm a terrorist? If NiKo did the same thing, is he a terrorist, if you danced in the street, are you a terrorist? They were dancing coz they felt America deserved what happened to them, that's it, end of story. Some of those people could have been terrorists, but there is no way all of them could have been. I agree with Guybrush though, if you surrounded the border of Afghanastan, or whichever country, no one would be able to get in or out. I just had a thought, what if Bin Laden (assuming he's responsible, and everyone says he is) has already fled Afghanastan? If he has places in Germany, what's to say he hasn't gone into hiding there?
