DarkBladeZZ
I've made this nice little conversation for TSL and I'd like to attach it to Mira, however I don't know how. And I can't seem to find a tutorial on how to do so. The Dialogue Editing Tutorial by Pavlos ( it's good!) got me started, but I can't seem to find one to help me finish. Any help is appreciated, thank you.
Marius Fett
Just open Mira's .dlg file and attatch the new conversation to it...
DarkBladeZZ
Ok, now how exactly do I do that? I'm using TK-102's dlgeditor, by the way.
Miltiades
I assume you want to add some dialog to the already existing dialog for Mira that's already attached to her (the dialog file in which she talks about her life). To do that, open mira.dlg with the dlgeditor (after extracting it with Kotor Tool) and in your own dialog file, just copy the highest branch (right-click and then copy) and then in mira.dlg, past it (right-click and paste where you want the part of dialog to be placed). darthriddick
EDIT: sorry Miltiades, you must have posted at about the same time i did. Ok, here how to get Mira's .Dlg. (as far as i understand it, and i may be wrong, so make sure to get a second opinion.) Open KT Open BIFs Open dialogs.BIF Open Dialog Look down the list until you find Mira.dlg Extract it into your work folder (whatever folder you are work on you mod in, or whatever folder you wish Mira's .DLG to be in) Then using TK-102's dlgeditor, open Mira's .DLG. Read through it a couple of times in order to find the correct place to put you new dialog, and then Create the new responses and answers as needed, pasting the material you currently have into Pre-existing Dialog. Then save the Mira .DLG, and place into your override folder. Hope that helped! ~DR
Miltiades
You explained it so much better.
DarkBladeZZ
Wow, I got two responses at the same time, cool! But for whatever reason, the "pasting" part isn't working. So instead, I think I'm going to just re-create the new conversation inside of the Mira.dlg (which in retrospect is what I probably should have done to begin with...) Thanks for trying to help though guys, I appreciate it.

That's what I would've done, too. Good luck!

DarkBladeZZ
Well, I got all of it to work accept the facial animations and movement animations. So, I'm happy. I'll work out the bugs later. Thanks again, guys.
Marius Fett
For the animations theres a box near the bottom of the window.... With a list next to it.... Just drag and drop the animations you want... The bit circled in red

Darth Balor
You have to set the Speaker of the dialog, in the Speaker filed with the tag of the person you want to have the animation.
Miltiades
You have to set the Speaker of the dialog, in the Speaker filed with the tag of the person you want to have the animation. Even that doesn't always work. Oh yeah, also remember that certain alien models don't have all animations that are listed, but since your working with Mira, this shouldn't be the problem.
