Guest The Feral Chicken
Yes, it's true, GB122, rugby tackles hurt a lot more than American football tackles. For a start, AF players wuss out and wear padding and helmets. Us rugby players don't wear any (some wear helmets). ------------------ All my love and prayers go out to those in the buildings, the planes, and their families. I wish there was something I could just do. Rest in peace, loved ones, all of our prayers are with you.
Guybrush122
no way, i think rugby tackles are equal amount of pain to football tackles. And im not talking bout those guys in the NFL, im talking tackling with no "armor", in the mud, HARDCORE BABY [This message has been edited by Guybrush122 (edited September 21, 2001).]

Guest The Feral Chicken
I don't know. The Football tackle is a thing of beauty, wedging the shoulder into the sturnum of the reciever, pushing them backwards to the ground. However, the rugby tackle is much more intense to the lower back and shoulders. Your'e prbably rihgt; let's call it a tie ------------------
Natty
I'm sorry, but anyone who wears padding in sport (unless it's the cricket players who wear the lil box thingie in their pants to protect their balls for obvious reasons) is not man enough and doesn't deserve to be playing a mans sport ------------------
Guybrush122
i will restate: I aint talkin the NFL crap.....im talking real foot ball, the kind you play in the pouring rain with no padding or helmets and when you wedge your shoulder into the enemy's and he is rendered spinning as your teamate dives and takes him down from his waist. a thing of beauty. this is the kind of game where NOBODY leaves without pain.
